What Has Happened?!

When most can quote and live by the expectations of a political party more than their faith or our #American founding principles/laws and the #Consitution, we are in trouble. But I will fight. Our nation is built on "We The People", but it has become "We The Political Parties". The parties should make it easier to connect with #goverment, acting as a go between and a way to simplify elections. But instead, they have wielded more power than government and those that they represent. Government officials have been forced to represent the party, not the people, and any person wanting to become a government official must go through the party and be led by what the party believes. So on both sides, the leaders are the political parties and not the people nor the people elected to represent all. What has happened? Even if a candidate is of a party, study. Be an informed, wise voter. Know the issues and how they affect you and your community personally. But, also weigh it out against how it affects all. Most importantly balance it all considering American justice and what is right regardless of whether it is good for you or not. Is it best to move the entire country forward? Does it matter? What will the affects be on generations to come? Go outside the information fed to you by party leadership and vote people, not parties. It is people that make laws, vote on bills, declare war, avoid wars and conflicts, set policy, and make appointments in other non-elected offices. We have given up way too much power. Did you know many of our fore-fathers were against political parties for the very reasons I've mentioned above? Because of the massive population, I do not think it wise to throw out the party system all together. But, we must take back the power. People and candidates should lead the party and not the other way around. Liberals pretend to be a little more merciful and compassionate, but when power is up for grabs I've seen different. Conservatives say they have morality and religious devotion cornered, but when power is to be obtained or maintained, all integrity goes out the window. And some from each of these have even infiltrated the Independence party. If this is not you, hooray! Then, join me. And let's take our country back! I refuse to be red or blue, but I am wholly Red, White and Blue! I will not go to the left or right, but I do what is right that none get left or as many as possible can be helped. Again. Let's, We The People, take back our country! God Bless America. God Bless the way great men and women that died for America to be (period)! -Yulanda K. Jones

Maybe I'm Different

Maybe I'm Different When I see a woman in a Burqa at her job, or an Islamic man make time to bowdown 5 times a day & pray at work, being responsible to their job and faithful to their religion, I say God Bless America. But maybe I'm different. When I see a banker, or a nurse go about their business as dutiful as any other day, but with the spot of dark ash on their foreheads because it's Ash Wednesday as they boldly show their devotion to being Catholic, I say God Bless America. But maybe I'm different. When I see a Jewish lawyer come to court proudly wearing his yamaka or she wearing her Star of David necklace to display loyalty to faith even while at work and say to a judge, they can't ajourn a case to a particular day because it's a Jewish Holiday or Holy Day, I say God Bless America. But maybe I'm different. When I see a gay fireman not ashamed to bring her family to the annual, employee picnic, I say God Bless America. But maybe I'm different. When I see a Sikh pharmacist stand behind those white counters diligently filling orders, answering all questions and always wearing a turban, a very important religious observance, I say God Bless America. But maybe I'm different. So, when I, a Christian, read my bible and quote scriptures, or hum a religious melody in the halls between greeting the public at work, still getting the job done in excellence and with pride, I pray you will say God Bless America. And that you prove that maybe I'm not so different after all. I have blessed all and dengrated none. As long as any continues to be responsible, and good employees and citizens, without excuse, let us all have faith or not have it and bless this great nation that allows that for every single one of us and for every single faith, religion, or belief. If because of faith, any is held back from any job, position, or promotion, especially OUTSIDE THE SPHERE OF RELIGION, the constitution and 1st amendment is a lie and not worth more than the ink with which it was written. I love to stand out, but in these things please make sure that I am not different. -Yulanda K. Jones

I Stood Back Concerning Rep. Todd Akin

I Stood Back Concerning Rep. Todd Akin I stood back for a minute to hear how some would spin or if they would spin the Rep. Todd Akin's rape comments. And I stress rape comments for these were not pro-life statements, but anti-rape victim statements. To have the position that the sanctity of life is most important and is to be saved even in the case of incest and rape is a legitimate argument. Rep. Akin has every right to hold that conviction. One could say the baby is only the result of crime and not the committer of the crime, so why punish innocent life. Many hold the other view, that in all cases, regardless of any personal views on abortion, it is the womans choice. We've heard the arguments. But Todd Akin's comments were based on any of these arguments. What Akin's comments boil down to is if a woman gets pregnant, it COULDN'T have been rape. This is the most disgusting statement I've ever heard and dangerous. Woman, or any man who has any care for any woman, had better think twice about keeping this guy in a leadership role or promoting him and giving him more power. #Think As for the "apology, it wasn't adequate at all. This was not a gaffe. People mis-speak all the time. Not all are smooth and silver tongued. But the overall content of his statements went far deeper then a regrettable one liner. It is not the same as Biden's remark or even any pro-life GOP remarks. I believe a real apology would contain a total retraction and I dare say repentance to every woman and most definately every victim of rape. Absolutely disgusting it was. To all pro-life advocates, as am I, I just do it in a different way. You have the right to be pro-life, but if you cover this up, we have a much deeper issue than a simple disagreement. -Yulanda K. Bigorty Seems To be Acceptable For Some and Not For Others

Bigorty Seems To be Acceptable For Some and Not For Others If one derogatively talks against one of another religion and specifically about their faith, most would put the talker in the category of a bigot. This is true also if, outside of just being faithful to their God and faith, they promote and want respect for their own belief, but do not respect anyone else that believes differently. This is a fine line? a strait and narrow way, that any faithful person walks while interacting with others. I have noticed that there's a Simpsons episode about when the Simpsons and Ned Flanders go to Israel is being played quite often. I won't go into details, but there seems to be a push to make one new religion or tear down all religion. I mention this episode because it is so lol funny, but I believe its constant replay conveys a deeper message to plants seeds of anti faith. Considering my first paragraph, why isn't the attempt to tear down all religions, guised as peace, considered as bigoted as an attempt to tear down one? It is the same. If I am the only and the last to openly and boldly exclaim Jesus is Lord then so be it. And I will not and have not disrespected or discriminated against any other religion in doing so, but looked for open dialogue. I'm perfect in this matter. Our American founders got it right with the first amendment. We can be as religious or non-religious as we choose, but whatever we choose, we shall not be mistreated anyway. Jews, Muslims, & Christians have common points but are not the same. The biggest and most significant difference is that we all believe differently about Jesus. Yet, we co-exist. That is America. Faith compromised is no faith at all. And if one has to change their faith to get along and get by, then the first amendment is a lie. And for those that are offended because anothers faith, should maybe question the sincerity and strength of their belief in their own religion. Let us all openly be who we are and accept one another as long as we do not impose by force or impede anothers rights or liberties. Having one change for you to like or cooperate with them is not tolerance and acceptance at all, but quite the opposite. Nor is it the American way. But we have freedom to be and believe according to the faith of our choice. God Bless America and let freedom ring! Yulanda K. Jones

5 Quick Points on VP Joe Biden's comment, "They're going to put y'all back in chains."

Ok. I held off. 5 quick points. 1) VP Joe Biden's comment, "They're going to put y'all back in chains.", was definitely race baiting. 2) His overall comments about Romney/Ryan "unshackling" Wall Street was right. 3) Pres. Obama's comment about VP Biden's comment was perfect. He spoke of the comment detracting from the right message. 4) There should be an apology. Neither Romney or Ryan are racists, they just have a different point of view. (And I agree with Biden, it's the wrong view. Look at how many scandals/Ponzi schemes there's been. I am pro capitalism/competition, but it must be FAIR competition.) And 5) It is racist to suggest the use of the phrase "y'all" is a call/summons to blacks only. That was racism on the part of some media, but I believe ignorantly and not maliciously. It's a southern/common term, & was greatly used by former Pres. G.W. Bush.

It Is Well

There are certain lyrics in this great hymn I know longer hold true due to growth in utmost #truth. I know some may still argue with me concerning those things. I once was, but am no longer in a "helpless estate" for one. Nevertheless, this is still one of my absolute favorite hymns and Christian songs, especially the first and last stanza. But no lyrical content more than the words of that sweet melodious refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul, is as true and dear and eternal to me and should be to all believers.

Read and meditate.

Peace always,

Yulanda K. Jones Ps. I love that line in stanza 2: "Let this blest assurance CONTROL". Whew! Amen!

It Is Well

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.

Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.

2. Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control, that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed his own blood for my soul.

Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.

3. My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.

4. And, Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend, even so, it is well with my soul.

Refrain: It is well with my soul, it is well, it is well with my soul.

There's talk of adding an extra tax to junk food...

There's talk of adding an extra tax to junk food as a deterrent to unhealthy food choices that lead to bigger problems, yet still giving choice, like with cigarettes. I'm not for this because it makes the #responsible, pay more for something they occasionally enjoy. However, if I did put stock in the "add tax" thinking, I would like to put an extra tax on the producers of "Reality TV". They develop bad #character and it's taking its toll on society and this era. But I'll stick with free choice, some common sense regulations, and the power of influence to convince others by just/moral convictions, speech, and by example. Such is the foundation of America. #backtothebasics.

The State of the American Economy And Class-Warfare Debate As I See It

The American Economy and Class-Warfare Debate As I See It

3 guys making the same wage, buy a house and pay equal shares of all expenses. 1 becomes a multi-millionaire businessman, 1 teaches, 1 pumps gas, but all are #responsible. Assuming they all decide to continue living together, should economic responsibility/distribution be re-alloted? And if so, by #choice or #force?

#Consider. If the poor man tries force, the others have the option to leave, leaving him destitute and possibly homeless. If just the rich man leaves, the middle-class teacher will have to take on the lions share, because the poor man probably can not afford a 50/50 split. After expenses the teacher may soon no longer be considered middle-class and there will be less money to circulate outside of the house. At the same time, considering all are responsible, and serving some part of community and the household, can the rich man claim to be good, moral, righteous, and just, if he doesn't VOLUNTARILY take more of the load, to ease all? “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” That's America. That's justice. But it's key not take a "Robin Hood" approach, because we are not only built on justice, social or otherwise, but liberty and freedom, too. The rich are not excluded.

In the "3 guys buy a house" example, if the expenses are paid by taking a percentage of each income (I believe it should be an equal percentage, but you can use the "bracket" system in the example.), the rich will automatically pay more, yet a safety net is provided even for him if things turn bad, God forbid. And also, if the poor man does financially better, he automatically gives more. I know this is economics simplified, but his is the simplified information John Q. Public needs to ponder to make #wise decisions as we find our selves at a cross roads in America. Both Presidential candidates, President Obama and Mitt Romney, admit this election is a choice between two Americas and two fundamentally different ideas. Both are focusing on the economy which has been broken down into several parts; jobs, fiscal responsibility, social justice, and class warfare. The heart of the debate I believe lies in the balancing of fiscal responsibility and social justice and services. So, the question then becomes, what are necessary expenditures verses what is pork? And who should pay for it all or the bulk? Should the rich pay more because they have more? That doesn't seem quite fair. They earned it. Should the responsible poor not be provided with services by the government that give them the best opportunity to be and do better? Should our seniors be forced to work until death to live and to pay for healthcare, never enjoying rest or other activities? That doesn't sound right either. Let's try to make some sense of all of this.

Taking the same "3 guys share a house" example again, when all were making the same wage, if one were to get sick, shouldn't the other 2 pick up the slack? Shouldn't they help him get back on his feet? Does this not make sense humanitarily? But if you see clearly, it also makes wise economic sense per the bottom line, too. It is wise even during the period of financial disparity. The quicker the one that is sick gets better, the quicker he will go back to paying his fair share. The quicker he gets better, the quicker the relief of the added burden on the other 2. And imagine if the 1 that gets sick, and is now better, is the millionaire? How much more ease will now the other 2 enjoy sooner because they helped? Would it be wise to only see the bottom line during the tough times? Or, is it smart to see and work towards fiscal responsibility and all paying an equal share, but doing it in such a way to ensure all 3 are made whole? This to me is simple economics and #economic #wisdom all around, for the conservative and liberal. Whether you see it through the eyes of compassion or by the "chain is only as strong as it's weakest link", to aid is wise and just.

Let's look at one more example using the house. Let's say there is a fire that destroys most of the house, or a flood and insurance doesn't cover it all. Will not the 3 do whatever it takes to rebuild and then get back to black/white financial dealings later? Should not the "fair split" go out the window and all do whatever it takes? Who ever has more gives more. Remember. The example assumes all are responsible. The #irresponsible poor is a different story. Will they not skip some bills, even after stripping down to bare necessities, because the big picture is to become whole again? Of course, all bills/financial responsibilities should be paid in full eventually, but a roof over the head should take priority.

So I come back to America. We must charge the rich and middle-class to greatly consider the NECESSITY of social programs like medicare, welfare, affordable care, and social security. You can't "pick yourself up by your own boot straps" if you can't afford the boots, or if you lose your feet to diabetes, or are too old to bend down, or if you die. We are creating a greater schism and burden on this country and for all of society when we don't give aid. I can extend this principle as to why world-wide humanitarianism is wise, and why America grew so strong, so fast, but I'll keep it domestic. The more we can help make it over the hump, the more we will have to carry the financial load, and be less of a burden on each citizen. This is not theory, but fact. And what happens then? All spend more, businesses thrive, then they hire more, like the ones that were helped, and these now begin to pay their fair share through taxes. Again. Let me be perfectly clear. The #irresponsible is a different story. No one wants a parasite, but it is still in our best interest even concerning the #irresponsible, to develop programs that teach them the value of hard work. Yes, some will slip through the cracks, but there are many that worked or are working hard to be better. And we can not forget our seniors who have already contributed greatly to communities and society in ways that may not be easily visible and may be under appreciated. They deserve better. We can not just say "don't spend more than you have", when it comes to these programs. And I am very responsible. I have never been on welfare, medicaid, or even unemployment, nor do I need to, to value these services and America for helping its' poor. I have no cable tv or a car right now. (There are other factors as to why no car, though. But nothing to do with irresponsibility in anyway, just taking a personal stand.) I have not shopped for any new clothes and I even returned an air conditioner to save money on the unit and subsequent electricity. And I'm doing this in August of one of the hottest years ever. My rent and all bills are paid and on time. Plus, I consistently pay tithes and offerings to my local Church. I have done all of this, knowing there's something better for me. I stepped out in business and took a loss, and all but the major bill surrounding the setback is paid and that one will be paid without bankruptcy. I play by the rules, spiritually (I am a Christian. This may not apply to you.) and naturally. I don't blame others or leech. But I see the value of safety nets and trampolines that it may be well for all. How do we know if one of these programs won't save and become a stepping stone for one of our future millionaires or billionaires or inventors or astronauts or Olympians, or writers, or teachers or any other service that we need? And indeed, we know they already have. We have heard the stories. Some will say, let the religious and non-profit organizations only do it. But the government has a role to play in social work and policy as well. "We the People" says it all. And I might as well take this time and once again explain that the Affordable Care Act, with the individual mandate, actually is less socialistic than the old system. It provides a way for all to be more responsible for their own health care whether it's emergency care or preventative services, which saves lives, helps keeps all healthy so they can work, doesn't change healthcare plans for those of us who already have our own, still allows for capitalism and fair competition among insurance companies, allows all to still shop around and find a plan that's best for them or choose to pay a penalty so if anything goes wrong, America (Me) doesn't get stuck and have to take the loss on your gamble the way we did without the ACA; taxpayers paying for it all. The perfect example of a service that isnt just take, take, take. I will keep making these points to #ACA detractors. Its fair across the board! I have yet to hear a clear argument against it that isn't just political.

Back to my point and the two Americas. I've discussed reasoning above, but I must discuss how America got into such a bad situation. If it was policy, then clearly we should just do the opposite, or try the other way. Is that not Mitt Romneys argument? The republicans say they have the answer, look at the times during Reagan. The democrats blame the policies of G. W. Bush, and say we have the answers, look at the financial times of Clinton. Im in awe of both these two great men and presidents, but Reagan's trickle down did not work and most was great during Clinton, he clearly gets the edge, but real estate and other financial busts happened when Clinton's promise of the American dream was not tempered with regulations and laws that would've kept financial integrity on every bodies part. It was a "free for all" that turned into a "free fall" and we are still falling. Of course, in Clinton's case every institution and individual has to take personal responsibility, but truth and boundaries from leadership would've helped and prevented much. As a result of all, and it didn't happen over night, the current economic conditions are not about policy as much as it is about a lack of trust by the American people in both private businesses, especially financial and real estate businesses and in government after scandal after scandal. And don't forget, the wars and current conflicts which need temporary deployment of our troops, because we were unexpectedly attacked on our homeland. I know many hate the wars, but the point is that they cost a lot and contributed to the economic down turn. This ladies and gentlemen is "the fire and the flood that the insurance didn't entirely cover", so we pull together. With our troops, and innocent civilians on the line, can we just say we need more fiscal responsibility? Our troops need what they need. I heard some news commentators say they were disappointed in the lack of jingoistic attitude in dress and speech by American Olympic competitors. Okay. Then if we are still to be the leader of the free world; know it and show it, there is a price to be paid and it can start with talk, but forever has to be backed up with diplomacy first, but always set for defense and battle. This takes money. And another way to back up the talk of how great America is, is by example. We can not tell other countries how to care for their citizens if we let ours die to save a dollar. Makes no sense (pun intended).

To tie it all together. What am I saying? It is not right to force another human being to pay a higher percentage or an UNFAIR share, or lose taxcuts others receive because they have more. Not even Jesus taught that. We can't punish #good #success, or else many may some day say, "what's the point?", and that day is just about here if you listen to people. If we say it's right to take by force more from the top 2%, the next generation can say take more from the top 5%, then another more from the top 10% and so on. I am for President Obama and agree with him on nearly every point including social services, but not with the way he proposes to pay for it. Robin Hood is a thief, period. If you listen to the opposition, it's all they can attack Obama with. It is humane and sensible to give more if you have more. We are to ask, encourage and steadfastly forever convince and make a case to the rich, to of their own free will, do more. When I think of the school Oprah built in South Africa at her own expense with possibly the help of other wealthy benefactors just at the request of Nelson Mandela, wow! The possibilities. Pay it forward. Be a good humanitarian, and/or just begin to comprehend it is in your best interest, and the nation's best interest, ultimately. Removing most social services and not finding a way will be disastrous. The expenses of the day to day operations of America will be eventually be too much for any to bear as many fall by the wayside. This is not to say we need more public funding in all areas. Some European countries made this mistake with things like free higher education for all, and free health care without the individual mandate, which changes the complextion of universal care to welfare for all; rich and poor. This model is what makes doctors poor. Id be pissed too. Some things do need to be cut. Privatising TSA, and some other public sector jobs, I can see. Holding off on Nasa and other things until things get better, okay. But the programs named above is a matter of life and death. Maybe not for you or me, but for someone that deserves help in the time of need. Mitt Romey is on this side, though as a Governor, he was far more socially responsible. It's why we don't hear about his public office policies too often. But Paul Ryan is a different story and I will hold my opinion on him for now. But hear me America. I am not "bleeding heart", but I do care. #Leaders care.

So solutions. What can we do to collect more but not by force? Well there is the Oprah model as mentioned above. There is also the experiment of using private money for public services without giving over control being used in Chicago to fund the building of infrastructure, but I believe it can also be extended into private business funding services, while government maintains control. The Chicago experiment I believe does it by way of interest free loans to the city. Not sure about that, but I'm definately interested in the prospects. And I also have this idea. I'm not sure if it already exists. But, I believe there should be a provision in our tax codes; federal and state, that allows citizens, like the top 2%, to give more in taxes above what they owe. It can be capped at a calculated amount that would leave them enough to care for their household, so no one can give all only for they themselves to become a burden on the government. Perhaps, each can give to specific services or to pay down the debt, but always without exchange or gain of any favor or influence. And in times of emergency, where as "emergency" must be definitively defined, the government can reserve the right to use the money the way it sees fit. This idea would answer the "Buffet Rule" dilemma which is no dilemma. And all that say they are good with paying more can just do it anytime they want. Imagine instead of giving so much money to super pacs and campaigns, which is your right, much of that money went to paying down the debt, and the economic recovery of America. Since this is voluntary, though we cant depend on it greatly, but every time there is a need, America comes through. This would collect money, no doubt. Couple it with a #flattax system, where we get rid of brackets and loopholes, and all pay the same percentage; maybe one that fluctuates per the countries needs, and where earned income is taxed at the same rate as gains by interest or dividends. Can a flat tax work across the board locally, statewide, and federally? I don't know. But I do know it can work federally. And also yes there are still the staples of fiscal responsibility and a balanced budget, especially as we recover. And recover we will. We must cut out what is truly pork.

If we implement a combination of all mentioned, I believe we have the shell of a working blue print of fairness, the spirit of our forefathers, and success for the individual and the nation. It can no longer just be "tax and spend" verses "trickle" or "topdown" economics. We need innovative, creative thinking. We must take a tiered approach and be ready to use and implement the right approach or approaches for the right time. One size fits all will not work, only we must stay within the foundations of America. I have yet to hear any new ideas being proposed by either candidate or party, except the aforementioned Chicago experiment that is highly regarded by many democrats, but is not nationally spoken of by the party or President Obama.

Well that's the present day American economy and class-warfare debate, with some good answers and solutions, as I see it.

God Bless America and our economy.

The Brilliance of America's Founders... God Bless America

The brilliance of America's founders...

The brilliance of America's founders, being predominantly made of Christians, made the new country free for all religions/beliefs, lest they we be found to be exactly what they fled from in Great Britain. And we see signs of that now where we wave our USA flags, but are building on another foundation.
Let us all take advantage of the freedoms constitutionally afforded us by being openly who we are, what we believe, and allowing others to do the same. It is of my faith, the Christian faith to evangelize, but not by force, but by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and the foolishness of the cross, then expecting change through faith, even every soul and community. It is this preaching, allowed and protected by the 1st amendment of the foundation of America; the US constitution, that saves souls, not legislation. What law matters, when you are made new and perfect. But we accept that it is necessary to set laws, bounds and a penal code to maintain order for those that will harm, discriminate, and mistreat. I hold so dear and cherish the ideas and principles of this country. I truly get it. I will fight for all, even those that don't believe as I do, because that is America.

Please do not forget, especially in these "cultural wars" that are meant to divide and destroy both faith and country . On one side you have some saying I want my way even though it is contrary to the spirit of the constitution, and on the other side, you have ones trying to change and erode faith to get their way. Both are wrong. Liberty and justice for all religions, faiths, ideas, and also freedom to openly express those ideas as long as it doesn't hurt or hinder another's liberty to do the same, is the American way. Let me speak directly to the faithful. When you have true faith, you aren't afraid of anyone elses belief. This was the #wisdom behind our great foundation. Let us not forget.

God Bless America

Some Things Even During A Campaign Should Always Be Out Of Bounds

When I hear on National Tv media a senator put down how the Commander-In-Chief runs the military, who has been neither hawk or dove, I'm disgusted. I was behind W. Bush, and I expect America 2b behind Pres. Obama, or @ least say it behind closed doors. In the conflicts we are already in, neither financially or in man power would it be wise for our armed services to do more physically if we can avoid it, but diplomacy is key. But when a senior senator and former presidential candidate goes on tv and disrespects the President and his direction, it's dispicaple. And this open division, is the problem. It's an election year. I get it! So all the domestic matters are fair game. But to suggest to foreign countries America hasn't done enough, and that they're right to "not forget who helped", if there are attacks, please Sen. McCain, remember your words today, Aug 12th, 2012 on Fox News Sunday. Some things should be off limits. Our guys are over there now. Our military service men are not political pawns. Please #think before you speak. Oh yeah. And this speech is acceptable, but a commercial by a Super Pac about Romney's business practices is out of bounds. No good.

God can do anything and He WANTS to use you to do it. Thisis what allows us to be co-laborers and joint-heirs receiving rewards just like Jesus.

Eph 4. We are members of the ONE Body of Christ. How can we be one thing, and Christ another?
If you arent there yet ok, but these questions must be answered.

Be anxious for nothing. There is peace, but close the gap between who you are and who God expects/died 4 you 2b.

There is a misconception. Perhaps my fault. Im not looking 4friendship/consoling per se. Im preaching/expecting the #sons of God 2do the rght thing. Im a preacher. I just happen 2b the subject matter.

I challenge u as a #bornagain believer, how ever u define God believe thats u2; however u define heaven, make the Earth like that. Thats the mission.

When #Jesus wept, why was He weeping? Very important 2understand He wasn't feeling sorry or weeping for Himself.

By grace thru faith u were saved, not by any wrks/morality, but grace MAKES u moral &able 2know/do righteousness. U should find it hard 2sin

I await the #sons of God. You are a new creation, even members of the one body of Him, Jesus that is God.

"I'm Taking My Ball And I'm Going Home"

"I'm Taking My Ball And I'm Going Home" :
The un-American, unpatriotic sentiment of some American corporations and some citizens.

Fair labor laws, minimum/equal wage laws, anti-bias/anti discrimination laws and unions has made the middleclass which is the backbone of America. Businesses that start or uproot manufacturing and customer service operations to foreign countries to avoid these, don't understand what makes this country great and strong. It may be cheaper to make a product in Indonesia or Thailand, but are the work conditions better or the workers better off? And their countries economies are made strong at our expense. Eventually, Americans may not even be able to afford to buy the products due to the loss of jobs.

Globalization; a company expanding into other countries is different from out-sourcing, and is good. It is another way of spreading capitalism and fair competition; the true American way that can yield unlimited success and prosperity the right way. Greed is different. We should expand (different from upheaval) into other countries ready to prove the American way and not be so quick to take advantage of other cultures, perhaps even transporting our own to work overseas. When we exploit foreign citizens anxious for a better life, we look like hypocrites and in fact are, telling them they are not worthy to be treated like American human beings and/or that that company doesn't believe in the American way period. And from an American citizen point of view, it leaves the taste that perhaps, not only do some corporations not believe in our fair labor laws and product safety standards, maybe they also want to bring to our shore the conditions found in these other nations. What else are we to believe?

We will fail as a country if all take the attitude if I don't get what I want, "I'm taking my ball and going home", taking my manufacturing to China, taking my money out of stocks, taking my money out of Church, taking my skill set out of the community, etc., etc., etc. Many of us do this on many different levels. And it has especially been magnified and falsly justified when our politician or political party candidate doesn't win. It has not just been big business, but many celebrites have taken this attitude or made comments concerning leaving America, such as Alec Baldwin, who did stay to his credit, and Madonna, who for all intent purposes has basically left.

This attitude divides us and there is strength in numbers. It's not just in citizenship or domestic business outsourcing we see this attitude, but in marriage (50% divorce), in business/other partnerships, in professional athletics (which really angers me as a sports fan), in employment (but most think thrice in this economy/tough employment era), Church-hopping (and it's not just the congregants looking for greener pastures, but I got kicked out by leadership I guess looking for better grazers of said green pastures. SMH), and even faith, religion, beliefs all together. All seem to seek their own, not seeing the proper perspective and balance between personal care and concern for ones self and on that of others together as one unit intertwined; interdependance.

I'm not asking any to roll over or do what I hate 2nd most to the above; compromise. But what I am saying is make up in your minds to stay, stand firm and fight for what you believe is right, right from where you are. Change minds. Change circumstances. But don't runaway. Where's the love and true patriotism? You can't and won't leave when you have these attributes. What about the little guy; the next guy? How much harder will they have to fight when you just leave? Fight! Engage in debate. Have pure dissent and not gamesmanship. But do so while you remain steadfastly always doing your best, giving your best, being your best; win or lose. Stand your ground. Make them understand. But don't hold America or any institution hostage by withholding what you bring to the table. That is the equivalent of black mail, extortion and force which is unamerican.

I've heard rumblings of what some will do if President Obama wins and what some will do if Romney wins. Where's the care for the country regardless? In addition to all of the above, we have to also stop this endless election cycle. Whoever wins the presidential or any election deserves some time of peace and unity to get the job done. In the case of a president, at least 2 and 3/4 to 3 years is appropiate.

Again. Let us all agree this is our home and worth the good fight and loyalty. Let's care for the future, the children, those who will come later. It's not seeing the immediate and far-off future that has us in the predicament we are in now. I know where my heart lies. Where does yours?

Ted Cruz, Tx Rep. (Tea Party) Sen. Candidate...

Ted Cruz, Tx Rep. (Tea Party) Sen. Candidate, said on Fox News Sunday he's never seen a Hispanic pan handler. This is when we get ridiculous on the other side of bias. And, it's still a kind of bigotry. All panhandlers are of all ethnicities except Hispanic? C'mon. There's good and bad in all races. Come to NY, Cruz. You'll see a little of everything.
On a good note, though I don't agree w/ all Cruz said, I believe he's on the right track. #flat tax (but how do u collect w/o a dept-Cruz wants to close IRS) #2manycareerpoliticiansonbothsides #wisdomnotcompromise

Rudyard Kipling If

Rudyard Kipling

If

If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or,being lied about,don't deal in lies, Or,being hated,don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good,nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose,and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you,but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Just an observation I had to post

Many are quick to blame young people's lack of mathematical skills and basic education for errors at cash registers. But check out this major corporation mistake. A "S-M-H" situation if I've ever saw one. Burger King sells 3 French Toast sticks for $1 and also sells 5 French Toast sticks of the same size and shape for $2.59. Huh? I'll let you do the math, but I'd love to sit and watch a BK breakfast shift and see how many place an order for 5 French Toast sticks and you've guessed it, Shake-My-Head all day long. OMG. It's actually on the menu board folks. Fix it BK. And let's continue to improve USA education. Remember, kids will grow up, and educated or not, they are our future and will run the world. Let it not be a horrific prospect, but a great, joyous hope and expectation.

Peace In,

-YKJ
P.S. I purchased for breakfast 2 orders of 3 French Toast sticks; 6 for $2.
