The Sequester: An Integrity Issue For The President and The Democratic Party

I adore our President and I'm still with him. But both he and the Democrats are wrong and are handling this #Sequester and our budget deficit situation wrong.

I'm with him about jobs and innovation over cuts. But the word he has often used in the past year, as also is my favorite and that of many other pundits in media and in general, has been "COMPREHENSIVE". Yes, invest. But the deficit has to be dealt with, and dealt with now. Many of the Presidents programs show much FUTURE promise, but spending is out of control now. It is not right to take over 200 million Americans on a ride that no one can yet see the end results though we have hope and faith. But there is a present that deserves better. No more kicking the can. No more choruses of Annie's Tomorrow. #NowistheTime! What if the unexpected happened? A balanced budget or at least a better contained one is always valuable. This is economics 101. I don't care what you are, Conservative or Liberal, every responsible householder, even the dreamer does their absolute best to create a frame and stay with in it.

There is also an integrity issue concering this sequester that bothers me and should bother all Americans. There was a deal made in 2011 where the POTUS and Democrats received tax hikes and the raising of revenue in other ways in exchange for the sequester which was just supposed to a holding place for future spending cuts. They received there part up front. The sequester was a place holder only, but a place holder for Republicans to get desired control of spending, not to once again negotiate. Now the President is currently campaigning and delivering great speeches of dread using the severity the sequester against Republicans as a political tool, when it should be used for its' original intent; to force all of Congress and the President to actually get something done and cut the pork. The President won the election by pointing out unfair and dishonest practices; gamesmanship instead of governing by the Republicans. But now who is playing a game with the lives and livelyhoods of good, hardworking America citizens?

When one side can't depend on the other to do what they say or at least take open responsibility and honestly explain to the people when there is a need for reversal, there will be trust issues. And as bad as the internal Cold "Shoulder" War has been between the two major parties, surely this adds more fuel to the fire and justification for it. And more of a whole lot of nothing will get done in Washington.

The President and Democratic Party is wrong. There's also this angle. The world is smaller and more tangible than ever before and still incredibly shrinking. All sees all. They are watching. If it is perceived abroad that America's word is not good, then what? What does that mean in international situations economically and in forging alliances and in making peace? This is no good.

To see and hear the President and Democrats go on the offensive concerning these matters as if victims, has been a tough pill to swallow. We The People are the only losers always. And the funny thing is, all Democrats have to do is offer anything that is fat and waste and not any of their good programs. Anything! It looks as if they are just fighting to fight, and already looking towards 2014, without yet doing anything in 2013. It isn't the Republicans this time.

The Constitution speaks of the "General Welfare" of its citizens in both the Preamble and in the tax code. So, I am with the President on his efforts to continue economic growth through investment in innovation and infrastructure. He is the President. He should get the preference. But a balanced, comprehensive approach should include spending cuts and more cuts. Our deficit is out of control. And even if the President and Democrats do not agree, isn't it politically expedient to at least extend and find some somewhere? I'm a public servant and not a politician. Maybe a political strategic novice, but it seems right to cross that great gulf and at least appear to make a deal.

These things may be the hardest thing I have ever said about President Obama whom I adore. But I conclude with probably the harshest word. It is the most incredibly childish thing ever to say or think that because one has won an election, that justfies breaking there word. Not a good example. I say it with such caution, because I believe in high respect for all leaders. I've held this in, but it does need to be said, especially when we all see the endless, offensive, emotionally driven campaigning by President Obama against a situation he co-created, and can fix by holding up his part of the bargain. And this can be done with little loss to anyones job. In fact, the more the President fights, the less likely Republicans will be willing to deal.

There's also the continued use of Class Warfare and a hope to once again justify the vigilante criminal, Robin Hood I am not too pleased with, but another time. Another post. Maybe tomorrow.

Please consider all, especially Democratic members of Congress. Make this right.

Sorry Mr. President but these things needed to be said before Friday, especially with the direction and focus and emotional, fear campaign drive.

More to come.... (Why even if every program the President presents is smart and good, it shouldn't be done at the continued expense of a contained, stabilized budget that would cause greeat confidence and pride while we wait for the hope of innovation to manifest.)

The Sequester: Will We "See" our "Quest" For What Is Right?

We The People are not privied to see all the numbers/angles and therefore all the right possibilities concerning our budget that our President and Congress sees.

Speaker Boehner and Republicans have said via tweet that they are willing to close some tax loopholes and also raise revunue other ways too, besides just spending cuts. Boehner through tweet has also presented some programs that do seem on surface to be simply just wasteful and expendable, other than those programs that would greatly affect jobs and the Middle Class and are valuable to Americas now and future regardless and more than expense.

It seems that combining the Presidents and Democratic plans and Speaker Boehnors/Republican plans, IS the said to be sought after compromise or rather agreement about what's best for all of America.
I will take the leap and ask like an innocent, wide-eyed child, What Exactly Is The Problem? It seems like the pieces are all there to make something happen and stop the #Sequestor or at least an outline to be filled seems to be there. Again. The average citizen doesn't know all the jots and tittles that you in Washington know. Therefore, we can't  make the best, final determination. We have sent you;  our representatives, through by election and we have to trust all of you. But it doesn't seem like the numbers or making them work is at the heart of the issue when I view and consider all I am privied to see.The problem seems to be more of who will get the credit and/or who will get the blame. As one said, either Marks or Shields on PBS NewsHour, it is a game of "Uncle" being played. And that is what is hurting all of We The People, not just the Middle Class.

Unless, one side or both sides are "phoney tweeting" and "fronting" (someone translate for Speaker Boehner please :), it all appears just to be stubborness and distrust that's blocking all progress and not just that that concerns this sequester.

And let me make this final plea. It is right and we should be pro leadership and leader when it is a matter of preference and not a matter of right and wrong, lest all elections be forever devalued unto total worthlessness. We are closer to this than ever before.

If the President's numbers work, giving America a contained budget that leads to a balanced budget in a reasonable amount of time and can show as such by wise, calculated speculations concerning risks taken in governmental investments for our future such as expanding public education to include Pre-K, medical research that will cut down on healthcare because of cures and proactive care, environmental research that will help in our fight against or predictability of climate change and therefore better avert or contain even natural disastors, and all other infrastructure that creates jobs and is the backbone of the Middle Class..... POTUS, whom is the elected leader of America should get the nod and tilt his way.

Unless Republicans can prove the Presidents plan is absolutely wrong beyond their own preferences and ideology, President Obama should get the green light and the shift should lean his way, though it is wise for him to cut whatever isn't absolutely expedient if they are points of absolute contention.

Overall, the budget must be contained and a plan must be implemented that works on diminishing our debt and the deficit. There is no dispute. How it gets done is another story. Let us all yield to what is best and right and get it done.

We speak of oil when it comes to independance, let America work towards independant wealth again. If not wholly now, a plan for the future that starts now. It will take us all doing our part.

The Sequester: A Deal Is A Deal?

This is why I hate governmental "deals" and we SHOULD NOT COMPROMISE! They always seem to come back to bite, and usually John and Jane Q. Public aka ME!

Congress, D,R and other, must have a mind and political heart (for many politicians, a sure oxymoronic phrase these days) to just do right in the moment while looking ahead and learning from the future. Time released policies can work if they are purposely and strategically written according to wise calculations and are agreed upon by bothsides because they are good, but not as a deal to force a hand.

Inorder to get done what was needed at that time, Democrats agreed to a Sequester. (See the Washington Post article below on what it is and how it came about) A deal is a deal? But to force all of America to a deal made in 2011 without knowledge of present day facts was ridiculous and the Republicans should not have offered it.

Both sides should have sat there and hashed out what needed to be hashed out at that moment. Yes. bills have to be paid. Yes. There are cuts that must be made. And yes. There will be hard decisions, but it is what you are in Washington for. There will be cuts of good programs that we just can not afford right now. Democrats should not wait to be told which programs these will be, they should look at the budget and propose accordingly.

In like manner towards the Republican Party, revenue has to come in. This means nothing is off the table including all Corporate Welfare and closing of tax loop holes that benefit the rich at the expense of everyone else.

This is simplicity and an outline I state. Congress must get deep and specific and do what you were elected to do or get out of the way!

Bill Kristol is right. Republicans shouldn't push the Sequester, but....... Democrats, it is not enough to keep screaming about the Sequester. Put some cuts on the table, not just loopholes and raising of rates, but real cuts!!!

Ridiculous all around. And 2011 is not that long ago. Not many can claim someone else made the deal. Unless both sides agree, and come to their senses, we are looking at yet another long term fight. One side forcing a bad deal, and the other re-nigging. And regardless of which side any individual may be on or benefit from, there will be more cause for distrust in all of Washington. Whether it is distrust due poli-tricks and gamesmanship that benefits no one but politicians and/or distrust due to incompetence, either way, once again, We The People, lose.

Cut it out! Cut it out! Cut it out!

Immigration Repair is the perfect example as a  reason for "small ball" governing. There are many illegals that do not fit this young mans story but would use this story, especially the terminology, and hide behind it.

Your Youth Initiative is the perfect example of the right thing. In this example, "Dream" works. But there are many others that should've come here the right way, no matter how hard they have worked or are working. Anyother way, America is no longer sovereign with actual borders.

But we are definately off to a great start in repairing America's Immigration system. Diligence is key along with all agencies working together to both give mercy to people like Jose, and to help enforce and protect our citizens on every level.

Also, with Immigration Reform, Gun Regulation, and even with the Economy, I believe the constant pouring on of emotions and not fact, though some emotional displays are good, will be to the detrement of the Democratic Party if not now, later. The government is to have in mind the General Welfare of all its citizens, but all mercy still must have principled foundation. Not personal principles, they are opinions, but based on our foundation, the Constitution and laws that sprung from it.  The Constitution is common ground.

The Boy Scouts

The #BoyScouts should allow gays if they're a public organisation and receive public funds. It maybe a civil rights issue. If they are a private organisation, and do not receive public funding, then like an Augusta National, they should receive gays, but by their choice from influence, and not by any force.

If public, Boy Scouts with gay enrollment, would be no different then a public school who has and couldn't exclude gay students. The key, like with public schools, would be in not endoctrinizing. It would have to be done while still allowing each parent to raise and teach their own children the way they see fit concerning sexuality. This goes for both the parents of heterosexual AND homosexual children.

Also, if any chapter is run by a  Church or faith based non-profit organization without public funding, that would have to be taken into consideration as well.

There is much to consider inorder to be just and fair to all. I'm a Christian, but I can't conceive excluding and ostreisizing any child for any reason, especially knowing their possible added struggle of being gay on top of all the pressures of just growing up. (Not that they all consider being gay a struggle.)

I know these things and this way of thinking is new to the Church and the Religious Right, but we must mature. A strong Christian must no longer run from any thing, but deal with all in the world. If there are kids that curse, steal, lie, are heterosexually active and have any other issue that we mentor, train and deal with, and these things would not initially exclude a child, why then should homosexuality? I will keep saying. We all were once sinners and still were loved and valued. We can no longer seperate homosexuality out.

I also boldly say to all of the LBGTQ community that this in no way means we are saying the lifestyle is justified, and not sin. We will be faithful to the Word of God and our God. But we will walk in love towards all and show goodness and kindness.

Indeed. Now is the time.

ALL Creation Waits

All Creation Waits, Not Just The Ones That Make Us Comfortable And Are More Convient

Romans 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

All Creation waits, right? This means saint, sinner, those of other religions, atheist, the air, the water, animals, Gays, Muslims, etc., etc., etc.

And we must give our all to all even while remaining a strong Christian. BE.

Hebrews 5:14
But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

If God is Omnipresent and remains the same, so should His Body. And not just as to "put up with", but in all sincere love. And some will come to believe, but if not, we are still to love. This differs from obviously still being able to deal with evil in society and justice that innocence may be protected. We must still preach the gospel and compel, but not by force. I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of all change unto and including salvation. By faith, I believe to receive them, even before they believe themselves. I am not ashamed or afraid that godly influence will no longer work. I have faith. And faith works by Love.

We are in the world, and not of the world. But we can not win the world, running from it.

We still have a charge and a responsibility. Let us move forward in a godly sort.

I'm with you on every single part except the "assault" rifle ban because of the core reason behind the 2nd. I have yet to hear any adequately define the 2nd Amendment as a valid, constitutional reason to protest this ban.

The 2nd is not about recreation, or even self or property defense in its first, but only by extension. The 2nd is in place so that We The People retain the right to protect our nation as a Sovereign, Free State and ourselves against our Militia itself if necessary.

There is a reason it is the very second thought of our founders. It gave voice and put in writing the justification for America as a seperate nation from Great britain.

The Well Regulated Militia of Great Britain decided they had the right to take the freedoms and the newly established colonies by its once citizens of Great Britain. Essentially, until we won it, the Revolutionary War was a civil war where at stake was a new land that was not Britains or the Kings.

The 2nd is more of a precaution and prevention, but as long as their is a need for a military, their is a need for individuals to bear arms.

If the military has tanks, and armored planes, the very least of which should be law abiding citizens should have these weapons.

Background checks and higher standards, yes. But a ban on them, absolutely no.

Friends Stick Closer Than Brothers: All Brothers Can BE Friends. Love All As...

John 15:13
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. 15 From now on I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.

For some of you who thought to train me, in all humility as you thought I was the one needing humbling, are you ready to listen and learn?

If we do what we are supposed to, then there's a generation that will not have to "lay down their life", even symbollically. Isn't that what every good parent wants? I was there until some decided I didn't have it hard enough! But I will continue to declare, I was simply born again! Perfection is come!

Now a few have been quoting a a scripture and I gave space to see who would rightly divide. The scripture was:

Proverbs 17:17
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Now see this scripture:

John 15:13
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

And Jesus also said:

Mark 3:33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brothers? 34 And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers! 35 For whoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

If you put it all together, we are surely to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. That fulfils all the law. All brothers are neighbors, but not all neighbors are brothers, at least of the flesh.

In the scripture about brothers being born for adversity it is talking of the constant rivalries that have been throughout history and throughout the bible, largely due to the easy access and lifetime accumulation of ammo and weaponry against sibblings. We would almost prefer another to win rather than our own brother and it becomes the greatest stumbling stone in our Love walk. It goes both ways, too. Sometimes, we over compensate and justify bad behavior by family and relatives and like races/nationalities. I have to add political party now too. But if we are to truly love, we will only seek to do what's right and just. We will also help anyone who thinks that way. That is a friend. And friends stick closer than brothers.

Proverbs 18:24
A man that has friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

And when justice and righteousness is done, friends rejoice regardless of who it came by.

John 3:29
He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

God was Abraham's friend. God shared everything with him; wisdom and substance because of it. And Abraham was Gods friend because He believed every word and everything and received all being fully persuaded of the promise because of the One that Promised.

Now we are in a new day and next level. If the Church is going to say they are sons and like God, they too must also be trust worthy and promise keepers and do justice. I am fully persueded concerning you, the Body of Christ, one with Him, of Him, in Him, and He in you collectively and in each that believes.

And I am also with you of all other good, sound, responsible faiths and non-faith (Bill Maher shout out! I really like that guy). All of you believe in doing what is good for all the Earth and casting the widest net, yet without hypocrisy or insincerity. What moral man disagrees?

This is right! Equality is come! It is not coincidental that it coincides with a natural push for full equality on every plane. See the big, biggest picture. Come up highest!

God Bless All Creation through All Mankind who WILL grow up and give greatest care for that which we have been given charge over; All the Earth.

Immigration Reform On Rather Repair

The word reform is probably improper. I like repair better. What the new proposals are really doing is enforcing the spirit of America that embraces immigration and what we are built on and enforcing laws that protect our nation from unwanted elements of any nationality or race.

To do the above, the proposals appropiately retroactively deals with the anti-immigrant behaviors of some, the lack of enforcement of our laws by others such as corporations, the real need for the labor of illegal immigrants by some fields such as the agriculture field, and deals with those who are here illegally now; in otherwise good standing and those who are a blight.

I am pro America whole heartedly. This means I both want our borders to be sealed and protected, and I also desire all to come from every corner of the world, but the right way. America, like all sovereign nations, should always reserve its right to say yay or nay to any asking to enter. I have a huge heart for justice, but also fairness. I love the law, but I have compassion. Though I personally speak, I believe most of America can agree with what I say. It is commonground.  So the question is now, how to proceed from here.

Fact. We have aproximately 11 million illegal aliens here. I believe that number to be higher. I, like many others, am against there being any amnesty. But there is a way to put them on a path to citizenship and it still not be considered amnesty. We could treat the 11+ million as if they came from their homelands and applied the correct way. The only difference is they are applying from here positionally, but legally as citizens elsewhere. This means America can still fairly apply all standards and as said start them on a path to citizenship, or not. We, America, is once again taking control of the situation.

Let us look at the definition of amnesty:

1. a general pardon for offenses,especially political offenses,against a government,often granted before any trial or conviction. 2. Law . an act of forgiveness for past offenses, especially to a class of persons as a whole. 3. a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense.

If you look at the Immigration Proposal, amnesty is NOT being offered according to the definition of amnesty. Criminal background checks, but even more so, the proposed payments of back taxes and fines for being here illegally means their offenses are not being covered. They are being reconciled. This is the equivalent of all or any citizen breaking traffic laws, or committing minor civic infractions, and having an otherwise clean record, being allowed to pay fines. And also, many citizens have been paid "under the table" and "off the books" as well as non-citizens for various reasons, and have not paid taxes. If caught, the remedy depending on the reasoning, has been simply to pay the taxes owed. Why should it be different for the non-citizen if the reasoning was simply fear of getting caught but all else about their employment and life was honest and above board; of good quality.

The Immigration Reform, or Immigration Repair I prefer to call it, Proposals are good because of this piece of sound reasoning.  America is a nation of immigrants. That is clear and undisputed. There is no nation like it. We are the wearers of the many colored coat of favor. Enscribed on Lady Liberty herself still, as she stands proudly in the port of the capital of the world, New York, is the poem that says "Give Me...". Either we are still that America or we are not. At the same time, there is no household that can bear 11 million unexpected guests, especially without close inspection of whether or not each would ever be personally invited anyway. But they are here.

So to take control of the situation once again, we must  seal the door and close the point of entries so that no more can illegally come and crash our party so to speak. I am in agreement with this part of the proposal being first. Since the 11 million are already here and many for quite some time, and it would be difficult to deport, then both sides of the debate can afford to leave that part of the equation as status quo, while we deal with the variable. Containment first is a good thing so that we are not right back here 10 years from now. That is the fear many have. We must first ensure 11 million doesn't turn into 12, 13 or whatever, especially with the word out that a path to citizenship for those already here is being set. That's just commonsense. In keeping status quo, except in criminal cases, we can even implement a status quo clause whereas no illegal resident here doing the right thing will be threatened with deportment while measures to seal the borders are put in place. But registration and application for citizenship can take place now. It behooves all those seeking to become legal to start taking classes and learning english and civics and all else they would need to know now. And it is wise for government to set up assistance with these things now. But deportment enforcement can be withheld for a specific measure of time. A specific time frame is important.  Once we effectively seal the borders, then using the points and qualifications laid out in the bill and also enforcement against all those that don't qualify or don't comply (because without enforcement that would be amnesty), we can begin to sift through all illegal aliens that are already here the exact same way we would if each were applying for citizenship from their home nations.  The way it would have been handled if done correctly in the first place.

This is right. This is fair. This is just.

PS. Reading is fundamental and comprehension is key. I use simple language purposely but my vocabulary is outstanding. The term alien is used correctly. Alien is anything foreign or strange as in a stranger to the land or culture and from another place.  I am alien to California, though legally I can visit anytime or set up residency. I am alien to the Amish culture. Though, I can learn it. You can make the point that anyone here  long term can not be classified as a stranger, but they are still legally strange or foreign or alien. They aren't legally American. If someone ones been living in your attic for 15 years unbeknownest to you, regardless of the length of time and their personal familiarity, they are still strangers to you. And stranger also, uninvited. To reserve the term alien for outerspace beings alone isn't accurate because the same argument could be made, we are one creation. Let's stop with stupid. Also, "undocumented" insults everyone's intelligence. And that terminolgy incites because it makes it appear that some want open borders and for no nation to be sovereign at all. And some do think that way. And that's where the fight has been. I also don't like "dreamers" because one can dream that they are not here illegally, that doesn't make it true. They could've dreamed they were legally here right from their nation, and took proper measures. There are other acceptable terms and terminologies that are truthful and not just slick, forced political correctness. But the term and description Illegal Alien is correct according to the facts and the dictionary. I will not change it to suit immaturity and/or Liberal standards of tolerance. I have my own standards that match the reasonable, general standards of the world. My standards are just and right. They will stand up under any light. And that's the definition of standards by the way.
