More on Love, Tolerance, and Acceptance: The American Constitution, Marriage Equality, and Christianity

So with my post about #MarriageEquality earlier this week, and with some of my posts this morning, let me address Christians especially, and some others.

Many Christians fail to see the totality and fullness of the Love of God, though they themselves have experienced, and do now. While you were yet in your sin, God loved you and stretched out His arms towards you anyway. God allowed many of us to start a good path in life; personally and professionally, start towards our destiny, leading and guiding and opening doors, before some of us ever even acknowledged Him, or bothered to return His love.

Why would it be different for anyone else, including Gays, those of other religions and philosophies, Agnostics or Atheists? Jesus the same yesterday, today, and forever more.

Indeed, the goodness of God leads to repentance and acceptance of He that is Good.  Does He not rain on the just and the unjust? Allows rays of sunshine to fall on all? (Please don't get offended those of you that read this and are not Christians as to how I label you, I am coming straight from biblical doctrine and addressing Christians by their faith.)

Christians, consider this. In order to make the whole world run smoothly and peaceably for all humanity and Creation, believers/Christians, and non-believers in Christ, God has destined and graced, before the foundations of the world, each and every human being on Earth to be, do and fulfill specific goals and purposes. This is what makes Life work well; cooperation with all.

These goals and purposes must get done, for the most part by those it was set aside for, unless they refuse, but not believing in Christ isn't a refusal or necessarily a disqualification. The Lord assembles all, and knits all humanity the way He sees fit. This is a separate issue from salvation.

With this said and understood prayerfully by mature Christians, please know that there are many positions, offices and promotions, where the right and best person for the job, and ordained by God may be homosexual, of other religions, Agnostic or Atheist. Read your bibles, and study. It is up to us to pray about every decision and choice, and along with knowledge reason whom is qualified and be able to explain. We are not, it is not proper, to only look for Christians to fill all positions, including in politics and even the office of President.

It is this thinking that has gotten us off track, though we blame others. Some times, we have assumed and assumed wrong, truthfully led by our own ideological flesh and lust. Wanting to see ourselves and one that we can identify with, we automatically say that the Christian is right.  But without prayer and sifting through several other factors, we ourselves may have been disobedient. Here is where trusting God comes fully in play.

I could give some examples, but many from all walks of life may get pissed. But I speak truth.

Grace, providence, or ability is of the human experience. It is as much as part of a person as eye color or height. It follows the natural man. It doesn't come new with salvation, though better understanding comes and anointing or more power to use it. Others may not honor God, or call it grace, but it is theirs none the less. I will leave it here for now.

The reasons above are why I am now, and forever will be in complete awe and grateful for America's founders. They understood perfectly what I laid out, though they were primarily Christian. In a nut shell, they crafted a document that embodies exactly all of what I have stated. It is our Constitution. They found a way, to Legalize Liberty; polar opposite thoughts perfectly married.  Amazing.

The First Amendment alone puts into practice and allows the biblical ideas of "Whosoever will, let him come" and also "Not by might, nor by power, but my Spirit says the Lord." It does this by way of Law, and gets Government to protect it as a right.  With its provision for free speech, it allows the Spirit, and power of it, that comes by preaching the gospel to have free course and change any atmosphere by its influence, even in the public square, without fear of harm or retribution. God Bless America! God Bless this great land indeed.

Many Christians are so quick to find a scripture against something or another. Sometimes, biblically they are right. But it starts to look like plain old hate, bias, and insecurity when these same don't see the big picture and all that God wants to do, is now doing, and will continue on doing. To find certain scriptures to condemn, not motivated by Love, but only to win social or political debates and gain power, makes you worse than whom you condemn.

It is the similar with our Constitution. The same Laws and Amendments that allow us Christians to be free, also allows others, too. We must stop picking and choosing precepts and only applying them for our purposes, while not taking the same precepts to fight for others, even if their ideas are contrary.  We must connect the dots, so that the widest net can be cast and many can be helped and/or delivered; naturally and/or spiritually. This is both God's will and plan, and the will of our nation's forefathers.

Consider all always, meditate day and night, and study to shew yourself approved and not ashamed of any work or word you may utter, ever. Learn not only the letters of law, God's or America's, but also the intent behind each jot and tittle. Wisdom is the principle matter. So, get wisdom. But it will be hard to consistently apply wisdom, and explain it to all, without also getting an understanding of why it is wise.

Much love to my fellow brethren, my Christian brothers and sisters. This was predominantly addressed to you, but I hope many will read this, and run.

Grace and Peace unto you all, always,

Yulanda K. -  I Care.

Love, Tolerance and Acceptance: A Quick Look

#MarriageEquality Now! This is right according to the principles of America, and the Constitution.

As the Constitution is common ground and the Law of the Land that governs all of America, the Bible is common ground and the Law that governs all Christians and the Church or Body of Christ; a Corporate Body that is a Theocracy. The rules are already laid out. Anything not specific still must properly lay on top of the foundation already set, and with in the outline and four walls of the spiritual structure.

The Prodigal Son: Luke 15:11-32

There is a popular biblical story told by Jesus Himself. Most call it the story of the Prodigal Son.

In the story of the Prodigal Son, there is a father, and two sons. One of the sons wants to go off on his own. He asks his father if he could have his half of his inheritance now so that he could leave the home, go to a far off land, and do his own thing.

The father does not argue or even try to stop the son from doing what he wants to do; leave the family home and house. The father also grants the son his request for half his inheritance now, and gives BOTH SONS, the son that is staying home and in the house too, their fair share.

The son goes off to the far off land with his inheritance and wastes it. The father, stays home, waiting patiently, but with high expectancy if not anxiousness for his son to return home. So you see, the father indeed still loves this son.

After much loss, the prodigal son does come home. And the father, does not wait until he is fully returned, but seeing him afar us, but walking in the right direction, towards home, excitedly tells his servants to get a robe, shoes, and a ring to place on the finger of the son. He also says to kill a fatted calf for a celebration, because his son is returned.

The father goes out to greet the son that is returning. The son, who wanted to do it his own way, who now is coming home thinking he is only worthy now of being another servant only in his daddy's home, is actually returning to his rightful place as a son.

Listen up Church. The son did not just return to the father, but also to all that were in the house, or Body, including the other brethren, or in this case, the other brother that did remain in the house.

This other brother, who also received his inheritance early at the same time of the other son, plus had access to ALL the other amenities of the house on top of his personal, specific inheritance, was upset at the celebration of the son that was returning.

Here are two lessons:

1) The prodigal son, LEFT THE HOUSE and the father let him, and did not leave and/or chase after him. The problem is that some of you want to do things your own way AND YET REMAIN IN THE HOUSE. No. This is not even possible spiritually, much less right.

2) As for the sons that have remained in the house. Since the father is giving instructions to receive those that were lost and are now found, those who do not do so, though in the Church and in the House you "appear" to be, you are only there physically, but spiritually now you are the sons that are disobedient, that want to do things your own way, and are not walking in Love, which is God. We who are home should be as excited as the Father is when we see sons returning home. We ought to be running to meet them with arms wide open (Creed shout out!) even when they are yet still afar off, but drawing nigh. We should have great expectancy always, looking for their return, and to clothe them, and begin to celebrate their return.

Graced and Sent,

Marriage Equality and American Christians

Let us all BE openly who we are. God Bless America for making that possible. It gives every one of the LBGTQ community the right to not only BE open, but ensures that they will not (nor any other group) ever be punished or treated unfairly in any way for that openess.

So, as tweeted yesterday, #MarriageEquality is as American as Apple Pie, and a long over due step towards America BEing exactly what it declares it is. We are a nation that allows all to freely believe, speak about, worship and openly represent, publish, and regardless of what the belief and therefore life style is, as long as it is not harming or impeding the rights of others, can also petition the government for their cause and rights. This is the very First Amendment in totality. Who can deny any Homosexual or any of the LBGTQ community from #MarriageEquality or any equality and all other rights that others enjoy, including all subsequent benefits.  Of course, that's what makes SameSex Marriage more of a State/local government issue, just as heterosexual marriage is already.

The benefits of marriage vary from State to State, and there is already equality made available for all marriage; Constitutionally and in several Supreme Court decisions. The only legal blockade is #DOMA. Cast the Defense Of Marriage Act down, and the path is clear. If any State denies equality, any civil law suit bought locally or federally is a slam dunk, and will win. (I will say, the use of the term Marriage may be still up for consideration, but that's a very narrow window. And of course, no Church, or person for religious reasons, with in the four walls of the religion, can be forced. We stress, WITH IN the four walls.)

So, as I openly, and often let all the world know, I am a born again Christian and I make no secret or apologies for that. And once again, and for this, even as I stated concerning Gay Rights, God Bless America. I am very patriotic and so love this country and its principles and foundations, and I worship the Lord Jesus Christ. The two are exclusive, but integrity can be kept for both.

Just as the First Amendment insists upon equality and fairness for Gays, it also protects all other beliefs; religious and philosophical, and lifestyles.  And in reality, if you actually read the Constitution and the First Amendment, in its first cause it is concerning specifically religion:

                               The First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So, whether one is Gay, LBGTQ or a supporter, you do not need religion to validate you. But neither does religion need you to validate it, nor do you need individuals that are sincere and will keep integrity towards their holy doctrine. This potential and unfortunately real friction and conflict, between faith and homosexuality, has gone on for far too long. Peace BE!

Let us all according to our hearts live and BE, and also according to American values allow others that may be contrary to ourselves, do the same. Let each group do to the other, what we would have done to ourselves; #equality, #liberty, #fairness, and #justice. Let us openly profess and communicate and perhaps win some over to our point of view by influence, but never force; physical or legal. And if we can not, let us still respect one another. If we are truly what we declare, then it doesn't matter what others think. As far as God, Heaven, and any possible after life goes, we will all find out some day and understand it better, will we not? Let us all remain true to self and embrace who we are right now. (Oprah OWN shout out!) That is what it means to be American.

God bless us one and all. Let America continue to forge ahead and be the example in every area of life. Every one in the world can see every thing. Let the world see something good; the greatest show on Earth, yet more than a show, but sincerity and truth. Each has a responsibility and a role to play in bringing this all about and getting it done.

Let's go America!

So now let me address many, but Christians mainly.

Many Christians fail to see the totality and fullness of the Love of God, though they themselves have experienced it, and do now. While you were yet in your sin, God loved you and out stretched His arms. Many of us were already on our right path of destiny, God leading and guiding and opening doors, before we acknowledged and returned that love to Him.

In order to make the whole world run smoothly and peaceably for all, and even for all that believe, God has destined and graced each and every human being to do and be and fulfill specific goals and purposes. Some of these goals and purposes must and will get done, and are set aside for persons that have not and may never receive God or believe in Jesus Christ. Read your bibles, and study. It is up to us to pray about every decision and along with knowledge see whom is qualified. We are not to first just look for Christians.  It is this thinking that has gotten us off track, though we blame others that are not of us, some times we have assumed and assumed wrong.  Automatically saying the Christian is right, if not prayed and sifted through several other factors, can be disobedience on our part. Here is where trusting God comes fully in play. I could give some examples, but many from all walks of life would be pissed, but still know I speak truth. Grace or providence is of human beings and follows the natural man, not salvation. They just may not call it that, or honor God. I will leave it there for now.

The reasons above are why I am now and forever will be in complete awe and in gratitude for this countries founders. In a nut shell, they, being predominantly Christian themselves, crafted a document that embodies exactly all of what I have stated. It is our Constitution. They found a way, to Legalize Liberty; a phrase with polar opposite words by their definitions. Amazing.

Title One: There Will Be Justice! But Not At The Expense of Liberty Title Two: Let Freedom Ring and Ring! But Let Justice Be The Ringer of That Sweet Bell of Liberty

I gave this blog two titles. But the message is the same. Depending on who you are and your personal beliefs, you may love one titles and hate or fear the other, but again it's the same word. Those who really just loves this country and knows America and our founding principles, should love both. This is my hope. There must be Liberty AND Justice for all. The two; Liberty and Justice, cooperate together. That combination is what makes all of America, America. I can't say it enough.

God Bless America indeed; land of the free and home of the brave. I've said it before, there's no need to be brave, if no one can be free. And the brave should only bravely fight for and seek justice when there is none. America's entire foundation is built on these principles.

In the current "Government verses Privacy" scandals, especially with the NSA and their use of private companies like Verizon to get data, I get it.  I get every complaint and every angle; both sides.

Shout out to Google who has written a letter to the government, to not absolutely deny all requests, but has asked for permission to be transparent with their customers whenever the government asks for the publics private information, through their data base, and they comply. Both Face Book and Yahoo immediately followed suit with similar requests. That is the right thing to do.

Yes. Government should be much more transparent and open when possible. There is a valid and right time to be secretive, work behind closed doors and be silent also, less our enemies or fools hear what they should not.  And this is why the government is calling for the prosecution of the NSA "Prism" Program whistle blower. He may seem like a hero to some, but he may have opened up all of America to more danger, too. What good organization does not work in some secrecy, and creates a system of tiers where certain information is more secure and has less access to, than other information. Most of us run our very homes this way.

To be totally transparent would mean we, America, is now either a pure democracy or socialist, and we are neither. We are a Republic that elects its representatives democratically. But in order to have fair, well informed voters that will put the right people in office, clearly we need to know certain things.

So, we have the First Amendment and freedom of the press and freedom of speech. We have things like the Freedom of Information Act. But also, we have things that at least for certain periods of time, that should be kept private in order for government to process the information and act appropriately, especially in the cases involving National Security.

Taking it all in, it all boils down to Trust and Integrity and Honor on every one's part, and an understanding about why these are necessary. "We The People" must begin to take responsibility for not factoring in all and being knowledgeable. We have tended of late to only vote ideology,, and that has been shown to be a grave error.

Power is still to the people. Let us take it seriously and be responsible.

I do not know how I stand totally on these particular instances and events. I know it seems to be well reported, but there is much we still do not know yet.  Motives especially are not yet clear.  Too much Liberty equals anarchy. No Liberty is equivalent to jail and prison.  Neither of the extremes is America. Let us see the whole matter. Liberty, yes! But always tempered with Justice. We all know by way of local, smaller criminal and civil matters, that in the process of actualizing and concluding Justice, in some of the stages of the process, there may be involved some kind of taking of freedoms, such as an initial arrest, or a trial where no bail is set for the accused. But there are rules for all.

God Bless America. Let us continue to see and evaluate all perspectives always and pertaining only to the specific matter, and not ideology or other instances just to make a case whereas many have already decreed guilt. Yet another American value; innocent until proven guilty. Let's get the facts and go from there.

Forgiveness + Repentance = Reconciliation: World Goal and Vision

Forgiveness and Repentance are twins and must be taught together, especially from a Christian and Jewish religious perspective, but it is right for the whole world when you consider. But as for specifically Christianity and Judaism, it is the full story or gospel of the end vision for relationship with God and mankind, mankind; one to another and that of Heaven and Earth.

God is calling for repentance across the board. Forgiveness is a state and must always be in one's life, no matter what. But lately it has been used as a tool and cloak for more unrighteousness and offense.

Reconciliation and peace is the goal. If you actually STUDY the bible and not just read it, from Genesis to Revelations, there is not a time that both forgiveness and repentance was required, even if these actual words are not used.

What has been happening lately, and especially by those qualified and ordained to preach and teach, is a one sided call for forgiveness and putting all the pressure on victims to forgive, almost victimizing them all over again. Yes. We all need to forgive to the utmost, even as Jesus has forgiven us. But not teaching repentance at the very same time, and expecting it, has emboldened sinners and victimizers. And there is an imbalance all over the world because the lack of speech seasoned with grace that literally constrains evil.

I am amazed at the things people are willing even to consider doing at all and to any one, and justifying all. And no one apologizes anymore. Much worse and in fact, we are finding that instead of repenting, apologizing, and compensating when appropriate, the offenders themselves are boldly preaching to those they have offended to forgive, even as they continue the offense and spread it to others.

This has to stop. It will stop. God has already called for it. And I am graced and sent to effectuate it.

Peace. Forgiveness + Repentance = Reconciliation, which is a ceasing of offense and peace.

Let's go all!

Tolerance and Love: An Introduction

Let's look at the official, full definition of the word tolerance.

Tolerance

Noun 1. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry. 2. a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own. 3. interest in and concern for ideas, opinions, practices, etc., foreign to one's own; a liberal, undogmatic viewpoint.

The key words in the definition are fair, objective, foreign and differ. You're not really tolerant if you FORCE another to think or believe the same as you do, and only then, you will accept, socialize, or partner with them.  It is the same with Love. (And there's no hidden meaning behind the word "partner" either. SMH that I even have to say that :)

One can also focus on the word "undogmatic" in the definition of tolerance, too. The other side, if there be any other side and debate about what I write, may well choose to pull that word out.  It could be a basis for a solid argument, and a good one, especially against some of the overly zealous religious and against some religions/philosophical doctrines, period. But allow me to show and explain the difference between the dogmatically religious and so intolerant, and the dogmatically religious, yet tolerant.

Those that are dogmatic and intolerant, look down on and askew the company of others that do not have like beliefs. They are usually unfair. Separate, but equal is technically a possibility, but only seems to work theoretically and has a poor track record when tried. These can not tolerate at all, even the company of, those that differ from them and it usually leads to inequality, because it's really hate disguised and a lack of confidence in their own values. But one that is religious; internally dogmatic and faithful of heart to their God and/or belief, doesn't expect or force others into their belief system, especially not those of other faiths or no faith, but are externally and socially undogmatic; tolerant. These usually actually enjoy and seek out the company of those otherwise minded. They are settled in what they believe, so there's no fear. They are willing and desire to learn about all. They are also ready to share who they are, but without force, and compel others to change. The greatest examples are Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul. But if you reject these examples because they are connected with one particular religion, Ghandi and Martin Luther King, Jr. also fit the bill. And representing evil, there's Manson, and Bin Laden.

Now religion, by its' definition, is within intolerant. It is a discipline, no different from Tai Chi or the Atkins Diet. You cant eat 3 loaves of French Bread and say you're following the Atkins Diet plan. Therefore, within the gates of any religion or religious service or house of worship, each must remain personally disciplined or faithful to the laws and precepts that govern that religion, or else can't really be recognized as a follower of that religion. It says a lot about one's integrity.

Tolerance and love then, from one that religiously practices his/her faith, is displayed (and tested) in their ability to partner and inter-connect with those that are weak in the faith, have made mistakes according to the faith, are ignorant (validly/understandably so and not by reason of sloth and willful ignorance) and finally with those that choose to not believe/practice that faith/religion at all, but another faith, or live without religion period. But I must explain this law of humanity. Everyone lives by some sort of philosophy. That's life. We really do think, and therefore exist, and are what we think. Atheism is the discipline of believing there is no god or higher being. It is a philosophy, only without a god or written doctrine. Homosexuality/the LBGTQ life, how and why they exist and everything about it, is a discipline and way of life.

Discipline and Definitions. If I'm a car, I can't ride on two wheels. For then, I'm either a bike, motorcycle, or in a never ending loop of a Dukes of Hazard episode!

If I'm a boxer, I can't get in the ring kicking and throwing open fisted chops like I'm Bruce Lee, and yet truthfully say I'm a boxer. Discipline and Definitions.

But outside the ring, as a boxer, I can have a beer with a practicer of Karate, share a meal with the Kick-Boxer, work with the Wrestler, do business, party, go shopping and enjoy the company of all non-boxers. (There's no hidden meaning behind "enjoy" either!  SMH that I even have to say that, too :)  Outside the ring, I can even take you to the hospital, pray or lay "holy healing hands" on you, after the butt whooping I give if you dare get inside the ring kicking and chopping instead of boxing, and still myself be a boxer if I played by the rules. Now that's tolerance and Love.

Discipline and Definitions. There are rules to life, and definitely to all religions/philosophies. My ability to remain disciplined to and by those rules, and do it openly, determines what and who I am. If speech and actions aren't equal, one is either confused, ignorant, a hypocrite and/or sometimes a combination or all three. Your ability to love me for it comes by my ability to reason and give knowledge of the definition of what I say I am.

I pray I am explaining and making it as clear as possible as to why religions should and needs to be respected, even if not believed. And why a faith must be practiced without change or else is no faith, but how it can be practiced while accepting and being fair to all others outside that faith. It can be done. Strait and narrow is the way, and few can even find that way, much less actually walk it and live it. But all things are possible when you communicate with others, especially when the basis for their fight is exactly the same.

My faith, Christianity and most others, have a set doctrine and laws. Most religions are theocratic and unchangeable, only understanding becomes greater and there's more revelation. But the religion itself is set. So, there is no malice when we are contrary to your belief. If I personally deny or hide my faith to inter-connect with you, I am then unfaithful.  If you force me to,  I myself am now the one found forced into inequity. I will both live my faith and connect with all society, and allow you to do so, too in the public sector. And if you are obliged, in the house of worship, or my home, to fellowship, I welcome you. But there are house rules that can not be changed.

I hope it translates properly when this is read, but I am affectionately pouring my heart out for faith, freedom and for you. I will not disconnect from society to live my faith. I can not lay down my religion, to be among all.  I have walked this narrow plain for most of my life. I speak now about it and define it because many confuse it with insincerity or use it as manipulation to gain advantage over all, really lying and deceiving. And others are genuine, but don't quite get it. Those able to walk it look exactly like hypocrites, but are not. Another reason I share now. The difference shows by motives and results.

Now, especially in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, many homosexuals and those already living or desirous to live a LBGTQ life, wanted to no longer be underground or hidden. Coupled with several instances of gay bashing, violence and even murder, much like what Blacks went through, the intro of HIV/AIDS and its stigma, and so openly unjust treatment towards all Gays, even by all of society, motivated Gay activists to make a real push for change and to come out of the shadows and live loud and proud without fear of injustice, and inequality; sanctioned or unsanctioned.  They were right to do so. And I, even as a born again Christian, am with you. Let's make it happen. But we have to get some things straight, for I must also protect Christians and all other religion's rights and their ability to also live loud and proud.

Whether you are actually LBGTQ or an advocate of, I too fully believe in global human rights and Liberty and Justice FOR ALL.  But in order to get us there, the people that claim to be tolerant, when they are not, needs to be shown their own flaws and failures at it.  Though they vigorously fight for justice, it is only for themselves and like-minded people.

The pendulum did swing, but we must not pass the point of equality for all, and make the religious live the way gays were forced to once upon a time; in the shadows. Homosexuality v. Religion is the best demonstration. But I have also seen Women v. Men, Rich v. Poor, and minority Races/Nationalities v. Whichever seems to be in power, and all activists for the powerless, push more for dominance than fairness. That's just hypocrisy and causes a never ending battle for control.

Both Ghandi, and Martin Luther King were Human Rights Activists. Many who adapt their ways and even fought side by side with them, use their ways to advance their cause only, but stopped there. Civil Rights meant blacks only. Equality, meant women only. Liberty to openly BE and exist, now means for gays only and screw all religions and whomever that doesn't support or justify homosexuality, and their right to live openly. (There's no hidden meaning behind "screw" either!  SMH that I have to say that, too :)

If we are going to change the world and make it suitable, and give everyone an opportunity to thrive, we have to examine ourselves. We have to make sure we are fighting for the rights of all. Love does to others, whether individuals or whole groups of people, exactly what they want done to them.

This, that I have laid out, is tolerance. It is civility. In order to maintain civility, and a civil society, especially Liberty and Justice, social interaction is a must, but while keeping utmost respect for all our differences, especially as the world gets smaller and smaller.  To get it done, we have to be educated about one another, and always greatly consider all.

I challenge every activist of any cause to judge whether you are truly altruistic, or are using altruist means like that of Ghandi and King, only to free yourself and imprison all others, which is really selfishness. Justice for you or "Just for you", and who cares about them.

Let us fight with everything we have with one another and for one another. All for one, and one for all according to the common philosophies that all life has value, is born free, and deserves to pursue the life that makes them most happy and that sustains and satisfies them within, without harming others, can be accomplished. It is humanity.

Consider. Consider.

Peace In!
