What Has Happened?!

When most can quote and live by the expectations of a political party more than their faith or our #American founding principles/laws and the #Consitution, we are in trouble. But I will fight. Our nation is built on "We The People", but it has become "We The Political Parties". The parties should make it easier to connect with #goverment, acting as a go between and a way to simplify elections. But instead, they have wielded more power than government and those that they represent. Government officials have been forced to represent the party, not the people, and any person wanting to become a government official must go through the party and be led by what the party believes. So on both sides, the leaders are the political parties and not the people nor the people elected to represent all. What has happened? Even if a candidate is of a party, study. Be an informed, wise voter. Know the issues and how they affect you and your community personally. But, also weigh it out against how it affects all. Most importantly balance it all considering American justice and what is right regardless of whether it is good for you or not. Is it best to move the entire country forward? Does it matter? What will the affects be on generations to come? Go outside the information fed to you by party leadership and vote people, not parties. It is people that make laws, vote on bills, declare war, avoid wars and conflicts, set policy, and make appointments in other non-elected offices. We have given up way too much power. Did you know many of our fore-fathers were against political parties for the very reasons I've mentioned above? Because of the massive population, I do not think it wise to throw out the party system all together. But, we must take back the power. People and candidates should lead the party and not the other way around. Liberals pretend to be a little more merciful and compassionate, but when power is up for grabs I've seen different. Conservatives say they have morality and religious devotion cornered, but when power is to be obtained or maintained, all integrity goes out the window. And some from each of these have even infiltrated the Independence party. If this is not you, hooray! Then, join me. And let's take our country back! I refuse to be red or blue, but I am wholly Red, White and Blue! I will not go to the left or right, but I do what is right that none get left or as many as possible can be helped. Again.
