Love, Tolerance and Acceptance: A Quick Look

#MarriageEquality Now! This is right according to the principles of America, and the Constitution.

As the Constitution is common ground and the Law of the Land that governs all of America, the Bible is common ground and the Law that governs all Christians and the Church or Body of Christ; a Corporate Body that is a Theocracy. The rules are already laid out. Anything not specific still must properly lay on top of the foundation already set, and with in the outline and four walls of the spiritual structure.

The Prodigal Son: Luke 15:11-32

There is a popular biblical story told by Jesus Himself. Most call it the story of the Prodigal Son.

In the story of the Prodigal Son, there is a father, and two sons. One of the sons wants to go off on his own. He asks his father if he could have his half of his inheritance now so that he could leave the home, go to a far off land, and do his own thing.

The father does not argue or even try to stop the son from doing what he wants to do; leave the family home and house. The father also grants the son his request for half his inheritance now, and gives BOTH SONS, the son that is staying home and in the house too, their fair share.

The son goes off to the far off land with his inheritance and wastes it. The father, stays home, waiting patiently, but with high expectancy if not anxiousness for his son to return home. So you see, the father indeed still loves this son.

After much loss, the prodigal son does come home. And the father, does not wait until he is fully returned, but seeing him afar us, but walking in the right direction, towards home, excitedly tells his servants to get a robe, shoes, and a ring to place on the finger of the son. He also says to kill a fatted calf for a celebration, because his son is returned.

The father goes out to greet the son that is returning. The son, who wanted to do it his own way, who now is coming home thinking he is only worthy now of being another servant only in his daddy's home, is actually returning to his rightful place as a son.

Listen up Church. The son did not just return to the father, but also to all that were in the house, or Body, including the other brethren, or in this case, the other brother that did remain in the house.

This other brother, who also received his inheritance early at the same time of the other son, plus had access to ALL the other amenities of the house on top of his personal, specific inheritance, was upset at the celebration of the son that was returning.

Here are two lessons:

1) The prodigal son, LEFT THE HOUSE and the father let him, and did not leave and/or chase after him. The problem is that some of you want to do things your own way AND YET REMAIN IN THE HOUSE. No. This is not even possible spiritually, much less right.

2) As for the sons that have remained in the house. Since the father is giving instructions to receive those that were lost and are now found, those who do not do so, though in the Church and in the House you "appear" to be, you are only there physically, but spiritually now you are the sons that are disobedient, that want to do things your own way, and are not walking in Love, which is God. We who are home should be as excited as the Father is when we see sons returning home. We ought to be running to meet them with arms wide open (Creed shout out!) even when they are yet still afar off, but drawing nigh. We should have great expectancy always, looking for their return, and to clothe them, and begin to celebrate their return.

Graced and Sent,
