God Bless America: The America of Our Fore-Fathers And Not Another

God Bless America: The America of our Fore-Fathers and not another.

We must recognize greatness to be great and understand what makes something or someone great.
America is a great country. What makes it great is its' founding principles, and its citizens willingness to follow them.

Just as a Christian must follow the Word of God to be considered a good Christian, Americans must follow the Constitution.

Every structure is only as good as its' foundation. If the foundation faulters, the structure is sure to follow and eventually fall and fail. This is what is happening to America now in some way or another. But there is hope.

Please read the Declaration of Independance.
Read the Constition and Bill of Rights. This is America. Please don't get mad, just consider. I'm a born again, evangelical Christian, but the above documents are the founding principles, and not the bible. Many values were taken from the bible and Judeo-Christian beliefs, but the Christian founders set it the way it is for good reason. And I believe it was God breathed.

With this said, follow The Apostle Paul's lead. In every situation, with all legislation, we must be careful to make sure all we do; every bill and every idea lays firmly ontop of the foundation already laid. The foundation that makes America great. The principle of structure, layer by layer, is what makes anything remain strong as it grows. It should be done on your job, when visiting someones home, and in Church. Yes. There is a time for revolution, but by revelation only and it must improve all's hope or set a wrong right. The "Equal Right" Amendments of the Bill of Rights are a great example. They were not new, they only extended or ensured that the justice and liberty provided by our constitution would be applied to all men AND women.  Similar is Paul's doctrine of grace, whether bond or free, male or female, Jew or Gentile. It was not new, just newly revealed to the masses.

Concerning building upon a foundation, look at these scriptures:

Romans 15:20
Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:

1 Corinthians 3:10
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon.

Continue with the Corinthian scripture and you will get a picture of what could happen when you're not careful, and begin to build and/or make rules that do not fit the founding principles of a thing. I believe that is where America is now. It is both Republicans and Democrats, Conservatives and Liberals, and every entitlement group that just wants their way, not their right; their preference.

Welfare and entitlements are not just for those with W.I.C benefit cards. Blacks, Women, Latinos, LBGT's, Evangelicals, Young, Poor, Businessmen, and The Super Rich are all social groups that want their own way and confuse preference with justice.

Notice how I can use the bible to explain our country without using it to justify legally changing our country. As I often say, I'm in awe of our founders. They put a masterpiece together for sure.

Remember or find out why America is great and fight for that America, not your preference. Then, use what America is, especially that very great First Amendment to influence and change by preaching the gospel.

God Bless America from sea to shining sea. And continue to forever crown our good with brotherhood.

Please allow me a little religious folly to conclude with,
Amen.
