"Mitt Romney's most authentic moment was his most damaging moment." - John Dickerson (Slate Magazine)

"Mitt Romney's most authentic moment was his most damaging moment." - John Dickerson (Slate Magazine)

This entire piece is not from John Dickerson, but from me. I just like to, and try to give honor where honor is due. When I began writing this today, I started with the paragraphs below and finished. But, in searching for a title, which I normally do last, John Dickerson's statement on Washington Week with Gwen Ifill, was what struck me and rang true.  I tweeted as much last night and decided to use it today as my title. Now to the body and meat.

One of the pundits (not Peggy Noonan thank God, I adore her) on Face The Nation said, "they" should buy an hour of time and play the entire Mother Jones video of Mitt Romney talking to his donors, because Romney was most articulate and authentic at the time in this video. I laughed, because I thought he was talking to Democrats. But I laughed harder at the guy, and not with him, when I saw he meant Republicans should run the video. I'm guessing he's not a political strategist for a reason. SMH.

Let's be clear. If Romney had only said people who depend on certain entitlements will never vote for him, then even the "victim" comment wouldn't be that bad because we would all conclude that's conservatism, and many do agree with him. And for those opposed, that is the political fight and why we vote. It is a valid platform, and held point of view of the Rebuplican and Conservatist parties. Here's where Romney put his foot in his mouth and should have backed off.

Romney said, the 47% of people that vote for Obama, don't pays taxes, and are on entitlements, and he (Romney) doesn't care about OUR vote. Many have tried to play it down and say there's nothing wrong with the statement. That it is equivalent to what I said above. But it is not. Polls flucuate, but the average of all polls, have those that have and will vote for Obama, and at the time of Romney's videoed speech, at about 47%. So, his phrase now becomes, ALL who vote for Obama are people who think of themselves as victims, are those who take or are looking for charity and a hand out.

Well, I voted for Obama, will vote for President Obama, and I have NEVER taken a dime of welfare, not even medicaid. I didn't grow up on welfare, I pay my bills on time, and I don't even have cable because I so believe in fiscal responsibility. I have one outstanding debt, because I took a risk. But, I will pay it, and I'm not even looking for bankruptsy. I bet, not even most of the donors in that room with Romney can say the same.  I teach and expect accountability, and I pay taxes! And I don't just pay any taxes and bills, but NY taxes and bills on a middle-class individual income! And this responsible person is apart of that 47%.

I'm a Barack Obama supporter. I voted for him in 2008, and will vote and see him victorious in 2012! He is the right person, at the right time, for the right job! President Barack Obama, 4 More Years!

I have nothing against Mitt Romney. I'd love to see him in business and help America from that sphere, then assist government. If, or I'll say when, the public and private; for-profit and not for-profit sectors, and those meant to be in these areas, truly partner......Oh unstoppable is all I can say! Let's go America!

God Bless America.
