The Power of The Gospel

Luke 9:26
For whoever shall be ashamed of me (Jesus) and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Most Christians get the concept of not being ashamed of Jesus or being a disciple and follower of Jesus, whether they live it or continuously fulfill it.

But they often forget that the entire statement of warning from Jesus was not only about being ashamed of Him, but also of not being ashamed of His words.

Paul emphasizes that instruction best when he writes:

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Notice saints and all that care to know. The gospel, the account of the life of Jesus and all His commandments and ways, is the very power or ability of God in action for salvation or transformation. Yet, we keep wanting to be discreet and covert.  Then, we wonder why it seems to not be working; not transforming anyone or anything. Even worse, we dare to then say preaching doesn't work. Let's try something else.

There is a time to be under cover, but that is guided by the Holy Spirit and never by mans schemes of "wisdom" or to call it what it really is, fear.

This is also not a call to diminsh, hinder, denegrate, or slam any other religion or the non-religious, either. That is not the way of Christ. But let us all be openly who we are, and let life take its course.

If Allah's Islamic path, Buddha's teachings, Atheism, Hinduism, or any other religion or philosohy is right, I have all trust in the Deity of that way or Mankind itself, to guide Creation to ascend to what is right, eventually. Is this not faith? You who be Christian, just do what you are supposed to do, period.

Selah.
