Watched Meet The Press  #MTP

#Homosexuality In America

Nice Joy-Ann Reid. Stand your ground. You're right legally, per our American government and the government/public sphere.

But what the heck was Harold Ford talking about on this subject?! Religiously, as a Christian, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Homosexuality is sin. The bible is clear.

Many keep blurring the lines between government and religion; both on the Right and on the Left. Very few are graced and sent to walk on both spheres. I am one who is, but all must get an understanding.

#StraitAndNarrow is the way and few can even find it. I have found it and I walk it and I'm praying for many more to come. Billions, when compared to trillions, can be classified as a few. I challenge even God Himself daily! My logic is flawless, and my heart more so is perfect. He will not deny my request and petition.

Homosexuality is a sin. But it is not a crime. And we are to love everyone. But we love them while we hold to and speak the truth as believers and Christians, because of that same Love and using the same laws that enables Gay Activists or anyone to speak and BE boldly who they are. We speak truth in Love not just to win arguments, and especially not just to win political fights.

Per American principles and values, which many Christians love to speak of and thump our chests about jingoistically (I too. Swag is good), there MUST BE Liberty and Justice for ALL! We can not use American Law only when it suits our cause and trample it underfoot, when it supports others. That's called hypocrisy.

What I speak is right and satisfies all sides! If it does not satisfy you, you haven't rightly considered all. Jesus did not come to tear down Rome, nor did He send Christians to tear down American justice and ways. But we are to use them, especially that blessed First Amendment to change atmospheres and save lives. That is where ALL hope lies.

Many Christians trying to be legislators and politically relevant, have failed as disciples and preachers.

#EqualityNow for Gays I say AND I am not ashamed of the gospel of #JesusChrist!

#MarriageEqualityNow for Gays! (Though, I am still considering the religious argument against the use of the word "marriage".)

But whatever America calls it, the #LBGTQ community MUST receive EVERY benefit heterosexual unions receive; Federally and Locally. The only real concern is in that most States and local governments have very different benefits for marriages and laws. Therefore, not because of any homophobic bias, but because of that, #MarriageEquality should be a State's issue. The only Federal matter should be the casting down and repeal of #DOMA. Then, case by case, if any homosexual is denied and treated unfairly and unequally in any situation, not just in the matter of marriage, the Highest Court of the Land can rectify. But, it doesn't take a new Federal law as an umbrella, only a decision and decisions on each matter. After #DOMA is repealed, and thankfully #DontAskDontTell was already, laws of Federal equality across the board are already in place. We just need compliance by States and local agencies. It is the same with religious liberties. New laws complicate things. Do it only when necessary.

Graced and Sent I truly am.

God Bless America, and EVERY American; Gay or Straight or Other! This is right spiritually, and legally. The blessing can lead one to Thē BLESSING!

Yulanda K. - An awesomely fantastic #PublicServant and Pastor right now.

PS. #JasonCollins should never be prevented or obstructed in any way in being a professional in the NBA because he's gay. But, if he gets a job just because he's gay, that's bias against every heterosexual player waiting in the wings. We are to judge ability, character and what's right for the team/winning only! Remember. Liberty and Justice for ALL!
