Dividing Asunder The Issues: Compassion vs. Rightness First Issue: Illegal Immigration

We have to carefully dissect issues; pulling assunder closely knitted problems inorder to properly, completely and finally solve each one.

So many problems have been so closely intertwined. Sometimes, I feel as if certain ties has been made with the intent that both will be harder to deal with, if at all,  almost like a serial killer using innocent life as a shield until he can escape. We know one has to be stopped, but freeze up to save the other. In this scenario, you may save the innocent for a moment, but only for the killer to kill another on another day.

Think about Siamese twins and how even the most skilled surgeons refuse to or can not operate and seperate because both may die.  So, compassion says let them  live as one. This is good.

But on the other side of the coin, cancer can not be allowed to grow, and co exist with the human body or animals.  Cancer will kill. Therefore, no matter how dangerous surgery may be, the only chance of survival is to operate, cut it out from the body,  and/or use chemo or other therapies to kill it.

America has been immobilized from moving forward on many issues, because of an inability to seperate out some problems from others; and see each issue separately. There is nothing that can't be solved. But I believe many of humanity is being overwhelmed, and their hearts have failed; some are giving up.  It can be harder to see answers clearly when there is no order and everything is "mushed" all together.  In addition to the issues being all connected; feelings, experiences and laws have also been improperly conditioned to go hard left or hard right at all times. This is not wrong, but without first seeing and weighing each matter, it can cause confusion and error.

We must see the big picture, but the big solution is in  the solving of the little details and several components that make up the big picture.

Liberals are often marginalized becaused they are too boxed in with feelings. Throw kittens, starving babies, drug addicts, and a poor, homeless, blind, one-legged, transsexual, from Africa in the conversation, who is an orphan, and you know which way they will throw their support. Funny, but true.

Conservatives too are boxed in to a legalistic view; religiously and morally. Throw in a marine, quarterback, married to the prom queen, non birth control using, God (Jesus only) fearing, non illegal drug using, only doctor prescribed (wink wink) drug user, gun toting man, who was a POW and blogs against Planned Parenthood, and you know where their support lies.

S-M-H at both.

Look at the endless arguments, and endless election cycles we are having. Why is the budget still an issue? It is because each side has to satisfy a base and each base  shares now an almost 50/50 split of the population. So to stay in office, politicians don't yield because the people won't yield. And it is not about yielding to the other side, but to what is right, and just according to the issue, and the laws of our land, even if that rightness is equal to agreeing with the other side.
Not compromise, but justice, should be the goal.

Let's take another issue of today like illegal immigration, which was the inspiration behind all these thoughts.

Last week, WLIW 21's Need To Know, did a follow up piece to a segment they did on the death of an illegal immigrant by the hands of border agents.

We have two seperate issues that was combined into one. And once again Liberals and Conservatists are then forced into an endless conversation or rather argument with one another. If you seperate the two issues, which we will below, you will clearly see what is right concerning both. One that takes what we call a Liberal view of compassion, but is just right. And the other takes what we often see as a Conservative or right wing view, but is really just right.

I will insert opinion. I personally believe Need To Know was purposely manipulative with this piece. It was accurate, but designed to closely tie compassion for all human life, with illegal immigration, so that those who oppose or stand firm in protecting the borders look like jerks. That game has to stop. The pulling on the heart strings with shock value to move any left or right has to stop, even if the story is true and accurate. The right tends to do this with money, by calling those with a heart, socialists and demonizing all welfare, while they glady take their corporate entitlements and tax deductions. Stop.

Life is to be valued. It is wrong to take any ones life except in the cases it is absolutely necessary for defense; of self or society as in war or in the death penaly (another issue that needs to be dealt with; case by case and without such broad strokes), and then only per our laws of justice.

Therefore, of course it is wrong for any human being to be killed or even harassed for any reason, including not just because he is here illegally. (Read my blog against Arizona and their "checking of papers". Ridiculous) Their is an investigation now concerning the death of the young man. It is right to care about any life needlessly loss. I pray that justice is served and the border patrol men responsible, are dealt with, and imprisoned as murders should the facts bear that out. From the piece, I personally believe it was. Need to Know was very thorough. There were independant eyewitness accounts that seem extremely credible, but I am not privied to all the facts, so this is only opinion. Congress is now investigating.

With that said however, let us not get distracted from the other side that is connected to the story. Again.Need To Know was very thorough and acknowledged that the victim was in fact here illegally. I emphasize, that still does not excuse his life being taken, but.....the fact he was here illegally is a seperate issue and is also not to be looked over because he was a victim. The two facts must be considered mutually exclusive. (The phrase "mutually exclusive" may become the most used phrase in separating and then straightening some of this mess out!)

America is built on immigration. Give us your tired, poor and wretched... This should never change. It is right. However, it is also right for us to expect all that desire to, to come the right way. We have a structure and laws already in place. We really do not need reform, just enforcement all around. Enforcement of the laws that are inclusive and can draw and lead to legal status via visits, visas, legal residency and citizenship. And also, we need enforment of laws that are exclusive, that removes those that want to do it their own way and laws that make America a soverign nation, with actual borders and the right to defend/protect it.

Look at every angle of every issue. Open your eyes Left nation and see the Right. Open your eyes Right countrymen and see the Left. Truth will bring resolution.

We have borders for a reason. If any nation wants to surrender their sovreigncy to America and enlarge us, it can be considered. All of us individually want our space, property, and borders respected. So, why should it be different for the nation?

Consider further compassion verses what is right, together we will see justice.

If you knock on my front door, it is kind and compassionate to open the door and let you in, but it is my right not to, as well. And to do either, is the owners choice.

As a nation, the above holds true as well. We must rightly divide between kindness and invitation, and complete closing off the nation and sealing our borders. But most of all,  we must steadfastly hold to the absolute right of this nation and any nation to alone make that choice, and not be forced be the stranger in making the decision for us.

America has the right to open its arms to all, and say no to all. When our borders are compromised and illegally breached and crossed, the choice is being taken from us made for us.That's not right.

An example. In the Tristate area, many are still recovering from Hurricane Sandy. Many have lost their homes. It is most caring and good for to extend and open up their homes and all resources to others that has lost homes. Compassion is good. But, is it right for the one that has been devastated, and yes through no fault of their own, to invite themselves, and intrude if the owner were to refuse? Or, without first asking, even if later the compassionate homeowner complies? Is it right to take the choice and ability of the homeowner to say no, even if they are just being mean and without good reason? Think. Consider. Everytime, someone crosses our borders without permission, that is exactly what they are doing. And then to force us into compliance, through voting blocks is most "out of bounds", so to speak.

We want all to come, but do it the right way. President Obamas youth initiative was brilliant because children had no choice but to come with their parents. All they know is America.

Respect American borders and our right to "choose" (the next issue I will delve into where Liberals are the ones that have it right, based largely on the same points I have made above :)

God Bless America, the melting pot, but also the Chef of its own stew and must remain as such.

Liberty and Justice for all and every nation.
