What Happened To Compromise? Well, What Happened To "No comment" ?

We keep asking what happened to compromise. Well, what happened to "No comment" ?

Some know I am one who LOVES to KNOW EVERYTHING and is also a constitutional purist with great love for foundational truth. "Get back to the basics to move forward", I often say. But I also am a propent of seeing every side and angle of every issue. This is the only way to have full resolution and not patchwork. To stop the bleeding in any cause or issue, is a good thing, but it is never the end goal. The goal is always to heal and cure. (I am still trying to explain why compromise is good but not best. It is a bandaid oftentimes, but stops short of completion. But that is another point.) I must say the following:

I do not believe that "Freedom of the Press", found in the very first amendment of our Constitution, translates in to a "Right to know Everything", especially when it may be a matter of national security and risk to our country.

I do not think myself smarter to have figured this out. Others know this truth, too. But telling sometimes gives political advantage. And also, there is more pressure than ever for politicians to say something; anything from the media and voting public. Power to the people. Yes. Our vote counts, but it can't be used as a carrot to extract what is not beneficial. Even if they do, public servants should have enough integrity to not fall for it, any political party, candidate or potential candidate should only do what is wise and proper. I understand the difficulty in this era, however. If Democrats or "candidate A" doesn't speak, Republicans or "candidate B" will or visa versa.  One party looks as if they are hiding something, and will most likely lose the race, regardless if they are right and best. So all put out talking points, usually slated to their advantage. Hence, Amb. Rice and all Republican counter arguments on Benghazi. This has to stop. Now, both sides admit they do not have all the facts. They say that now, because there is no longer a prize or election in balance. I will continue to defend Amb. Rice, though. She did lean toward "spontaneous protests" but said again and again that the investigation had not yet been concluded.  Political gamesmanship can cost lives. Stop. Think.

If you read my posts and blogs, I have been consistent with this issue, while still calling for truth. In August, I was very upset with Sen. John McCain for publically speaking about military strategy on Fox News Sunday.  I wrote a short blog about it. This was before Benghazi.  I expect better of our representatives, especially senior reps.

As for the media, let's flesh it out. I do understand they have constitutional rights and a responsibility to the public; America and abroad. Indeed I exercise and use this right in writing these comments. But it amazes me that out of the same mouth, media reports and seems outraged that the woman from the Pertraeus alledged affair is being investigated about possible "secrets" she may have access to; how up in arms they are about the possibility of a civillian having access, all while they demand to know all the "secrets" too. Huh? It seems as if it is a scandal if one without proper security clearance has access, but patriotic if all of America, still without any security clearance, knows. Again. Huh? What? Sometimes we are so smart and engaged, we don't link all wisdom and knowledge together. I can say much more, but I will leave it here.

As I said in a previous tweet, some things, we, the general public should not know. DO NOT LIE! We are not saying to cover, lie or distort. I am only asking, what ever happed to, "No Comment".

We know Americans has VALID trust issues. There was a time when we would not question any political leader. Scandals have hardened us. I know. I stand where you stand, too. But the answer is not in making all tell all when it potentially puts our nation at risk. The answer lies in restoring integrity by electing people of integrity we can trust with truth. This breach can and must be repaired. It has been torn in many spheres, so knowledge has been John Q's refuge. But we have not stopped to see, that while we take comfort in knowledge, our enemies are collecting data for our doom and destruction. We must walk a line. The only way to do so, is to elect leaders of integrity and character we can trust with getting truth and facts, but also to be silent, without evil intent, when appropiate. This is a properly functioning perfect Republic, of which America stands and to which we have pledeged allegiance.

Let us not forget. Truth sets free. Integrity holds together a firm foundation on which the greatest building can be built. Character is honororable. To honor means to hold in high regard knowing the person will not lead you wrong or will be transparent if they make a mistake of pure, good intent. But loose-lips, can still sink ships when the enemy hears. If all hearing were friends, no problem. But we know that's not the case. Now there is a time to be transparent no matter who hears. You have to meditate and know which times are which. Leaders instictively know, and can explain timing to all.
(Ten+ years. I will leave it at that.)

Let's see big picture and details. Let's always be in the moment. And let's always consider all.

God bless America.
