#WhatDeedsIndeedOpenTheDoor? #NextNextWednesdaysMasses (5/18/22) Acts 15:1-6, Jn 15:1-8...
Nothing to say much about the first reading. Covered it all in the past week or so, a plenty! Will only remind all that there is a PRECISE minimum knowledge and belief in and actions, accordingly, to be saved, from age to age, which as I said, shrinks through the ages as there is more of an expectation of knowledge of Truth and to act accordingly..
Isa 59:19: "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."
Mat 24:13-22: "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand: ) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
Jud 1:20-21: "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
That's one discussion, that is what exactly is the minimum required to be saved at any time. If ye say there is no change universally in the SPECTRUM, though not in the final expectation and highest way, then ye say circumcision was never required by God for anyone, which we know is not true and that Moses own wife violently circumcised her kids before Moses returned to Egypt for to lead his ppl out because the Spirit of death was on the brink of killing them if not...
Exo 4:21-22,24-26: "And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: … And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision."
And this makes no sense...
Mat 5:20: "For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven."
So clearly, there is a shift in the acceptable base of belief and particularly we focus on the DEEDS AND TANGIBLE THINGS REQUIRED!
There is debate over anything needing to be done beyond have faith in Jesus, and if any thing, which things are absolutely needed, from yea or nay with water baptisms to Church going. Are these MUSTS to enter Gods eternal Kingdom and to live with Him forever?
Not going to answer all the qs now. I only put these things forward because so much focus is put on what we may no longer have to do to be saved that is of the Jewish religion, like circumcision of flesh, but most in the Church dont see how they bring they're own shit to the table and force ppl to do what is not necessary OR tell them FALSELY that certain things are not necessary unto salvation when they are!
Mat 23:2-4: "saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers."
Mar 7:6-9,13: "He answered and said unto them, Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. … Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye."
The Word is clear and perfect! Most if not all demonations are not! Catholicism per BOTH ENDS of forcing things unnecessary or eliminating by doctrine things that are necessary are as guilty as the Jews and these in the first reading with their doctrine and ways that don't match the Word!
The other side of this is we are judged as INDIVIDUALS, INDIVIDUAL CHURCHES, INDIVIDUAL REGIONS, AND AS INDIVIDUAL NATIONS within accepted Universal Truth at any moment, separately, allowing for Paul to rightly say things like this...
1Cor 7:6,12: "But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. … But to the rest speak I, not the Lord..."
And to in one letter and in one place to, for example, praise women pastors and leaders, while in others, tell women to shut the fuck up...
Rom 16:3-5: "Greet PRISCILLA and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles. Likewise greet the church that is in THEIR house. Salute my well-beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ."
Phil 4:1-3: "Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life."
1Tim 2:11-12: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
And see this..
Mat 12:3-4: "But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests"
True for all? No!
Gal 6:5: "For every man shall bear his own burden."
It all depends on the ACCEPTABLE maturity expectation of that place which changes what liberty and freedom is allotted. We do the same in our Households with Our kids. There are universal household rules, but under that, different allowances based on the maturity AND RESPONSIBILITY AND GOODNESS of a person under that roof, and their heart and former behavior, too. And we allow one off exceptions. God is the same. We get it from Him. All these things need to be concerning what is perfectly right for to save and what will not, age to age. For even as there was a great shift and narrowing of the way from Judaism to Christianity, from the Church Age of Christianity to the end, there will be another great shift and former things winked at that still allowed one to ve saved that they committed or omitted will not be acceptable for the next era and those who do the SAME will instead be damned!
Luk 17:20-21,23-25,33-37: "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. … And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. … Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together."
Gotta be aware of all these things and stop pointing fingers at Jews during this period, or now, only, concerning disputes on acts and deeds necessary to enter and REMAIN in Gods grace, or necessary NOT to do!
1Cor 13:8-11: "Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things."
Nothing to say, directly, on the gospel but to only ask what does "abide" mean, and how do you do that first, in order to produce fruit? Again, at one point, circumcision was a way needed to abide at one point...
Gen 17:7-12,14: "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you. And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. … And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant."
And the "true vine" is Jesus, who said this...
John 5:46: "For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me."
So.....
Per all I laid out, this is essential, or these things...
John 8:31-32: "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, IF YE CONTINUE IN MY WORD, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
And the Word is ALIVE and progressive! It is a COURSE or PATH that must be finished and He the Word, followed wherever He may be, IDEOLOGICALLY...
Rev 14:4: "These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb."
Mat 24:24-28: "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together."
He is no longer in circumcision! Amen! He aint any longer on the cross or in the grave, either however, Beloved!
Mat 28:5-6: "And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. HE IS NOT HERE: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
HALLELUJAH!!!!
This is an overview. Let us all ponder greatly where Truth lies TODAY that WE may abide and bear fruit; much fruit, which glorifies Our Father in Heaven AND SO OURSELVES too!
John 15:3-8: "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples."
Yes...
Mat 22:32: "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
Good God!
And yes...
Luk 11:2-3: "And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our DAILY bread."(UNTO the will of Thy Kingdom on Earth as is in Heaven, even Our very selves, FIRST, and WE have Our eternal BEing!)
And amen..
Heb 3:7,13,15: "Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, TODAY if ye will hear his voice, … But exhort one another daily, while it is called TODAY; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. … While it is said, TODAY if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation."
Take it all into account...
John 15:3: "Now ye are clean through the word which I have SPOKEN unto you."
He STILL SPEAKS and is SPEAKING, present tense, though! #JesusIsALIVE!
