My Thoughts and Comments on the Catholic Church's Vatican Meeting 2014 on Inclusion of Homosexuals in the Church and also the Divorced and Communion
Some are glad about the outcome of no real outcome or reform in the Catholic Church. But see clearly what happened and why it was not a good thing.
1) The Catholic Archbishops chose beliefs and traditions of a denomination over what the Bible actually says.
A) There is no scripture that says we are to exclude ANYONE from taking communion. The Bible only warns individuals to take it seriously and warns those that know of a reason why they personally should not receive communion, of taking it.
1 Corinthians 11:27
Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
B) We as the Church and Body of Christ, are supposed to receive ALL people.
Isaiah 56:7
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Mark 11:17
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
The only thing the Bible speaks on above total inclusion, is that it sets and outlines the standard is who qualifies for Leadership, among ALL those people that willingly come, and must be accepted.
1 Timothy 3:1
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the
condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Titus 1:6
If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
2) What happened in the outcome resulting in no outcome at all, was that Democracy entered, was placed above, and was allowed to override the Theocracy that is the Church. This could have dangerous consequences in the future. The only time Church Leadership should be over ruled is when the hierarchy themselves are out of line and try to go against scripture. There is a time when Leadership can put things to a vote. But that is up to Leadership, and still there can be no decisions or choices that go against the Word of God allowed. The Word is a weapon of peace and influence and a game changer. It must not be diluted.
See clearly. See down the road. I am not sure this was not contrived. You have to ask yourself, why were the two major issues, yet very and so different; Divorce and Homosexuality, linked in the first place? They are not at all the same or treated the same in God's Word. One is frowned upon, but allowable by God, and the other is not allowed at all.
The Bible on Divorce:
Matthew 19:7
They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
Matthew 19:8
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
Malachi 2:14
Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
Malachi 2:15
And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
Malachi 2:16
For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
The Bible on Homosexuality:
Leviticus 18:22
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Romans 1:24
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Romans 1:26
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Romans 1:27
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Romans 1:29
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Romans 1:32
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
1 Corinthians 6:9
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Yes. I know it is harsh. But notice, the Bible does not set homosexuality in a class by itself, when considering sin. Many Gays and gay supporters don't like homosexuality linked with other of these sins and other universally accepted immoralities. But it is the Bible and the Word, and not any individual, that places homosexuality in the same group and sees it the same as lying, envying, even murder, too, among other sins. And let us see the other side, as well. For many on the "Moral" Right, and other Christians, that seek and/or think to exclude all Gays and others of the LBGT community from the Church and others sects of life and the community at large, this truth and these scripture verses works and testifies against you, too. Often, these so easily will accept those that have committed nearly ALL of these other sins, and those that are presently committing, but yet then there has to be a special session in the Vatican to accept gays? That is NOT religion. That is hypocrisy (another sin). That is called bias and bigotry and hate. That thinking is NOT Jesus and NOT Christian at all. And it is NOT love at all.
Now, though as written above, God is not at all for divorce, we also see that divorce is NOT included in any of these verses above, and not grouped in with other sins. So why again is the Catholic Church treating Divorce and Homosexuality as if they are the same? Could it be that there is a hope that someday those that are divorced and others that feel the Catholic Church is wrong about it (and they are), will get the changes they want, and then others will think that then the door is wide open, and that there must be changes for other things, including the Church's position on homosexuality? As said, all still must be according to the Bible and Word of God. We are not to add to it, nor subtract from it. Yet, without doubt, we are to love all. You actually cannot do that without judgment. That is where so many go wrong. You just have to judge right.
