Muslim World: Islam, the War On Terror, the Middle East Verses the West, and What Are Liberals To Do and Think of It All.
The Heart of the Problem
There are a few changes from my original response to a Twitter post and video clip, but the meat of it is retained in this composition. I can't wait to get back to seeing Real Time with Bill Maher.
Below is the clip to which I am responding and referencing.

My response:
My God. My God.
First, I would KILL to be apart of this conversation.
Second, in the specific things mentioned in the clip, I am 108.36% in agreement with Bill Maher. I don't know what the heck a Liberal is anymore. Many traded principles for politics, and think they can carry the same label. Nope. For one example, a real Liberal would have, in the interest, and per the System of Justice, though not personally, defended Donald Sterling.
Third, stand down Ben Affleck. Most of what the gentleman said about Muslims was right, and again, Bill Maher's take on the inconsistency of Liberals at certain times, is right on target.
I say most of what the Gentleman said, because there are two or three things that every one keeps confusing. We have the actions of some verses the actual religion itself. And then, there's government, which uses the religion. Three separate issues, albeit well woven.
I know for fact that true Islam does not support or direct any to kill, including self, as in suicide bombings, and including killing those that are not of the religion, or leave the religion. Those that do these things, though they say they are Muslim, are not acting in the name or cause of their god or religion. It is right for Liberals, and even all, to defend Islam from this particular violent, and inaccurate depiction, no matter what percentage those that do violence cover.
However, though the religion is not violent, and therefore does not support violence towards women, what is ABSOLUTELY TRUE, is that the religion does NOT put women on par with men as in make them TOTAL EQUALS. That is true about Islam. Islam teaches men to love and care and provide for women, but not at all as equals. It is the same with homosexuals, and other groups, as Maher pointed out. They are not unequal, but excluded. It is what it is.
Liberals, and all, should defend the right for men and women to freely practice that faith. But that would include, no homosexuality, and also for women to take a secondary role. No one has a right to change a religion, and it is anyone's right to follow, whether we think the religion is right or fair or not. It's a tough pill to swallow. But Liberty and Choice, is just that. Liberals can't have it both ways.
Now we get to Government Rule and Authority, which is the central heart of the real issues, and what sets apart the West from these nations. It is also where Liberals get confused. In these Islamic nations, in many ways if not all, Government is synonymous with Religion, unlike here in America. Though we have some laws based on religion, they are not the religion itself. But in many of the " Islamic nations that we speak of, because of the overwhelming connection between Government and Religion, even when using true Islam, because of the Religion, there is a system of laws where Choice and Liberty and Equality and Fairness, is taken from all women, for one, and from those that are Gay, Trans-gender, and any one and any group that the religion says is wrong, sinful, or should not be equal. This is true even for those that Choose NOT to follow Islam, too, creating a system of Government where essentially the choice to follow Islam itself is taken.
It is then, per the Government Sphere, that every Liberal and all should stand against the religion being so connected and involved with National Rule and Power, even as I do in America, against Christians that want to use faith to justify bias in public, and call it the First Amendment. That's wrong. In these Islamic Countries, it is not a matter of separation of Mosque and State. As said, that phrase even in America and the West is often misunderstood and not accurately applied, causing bias against some religions. But in these nations, the civil rights and human justice fight, and solutions lie in a separation of Public and Private, or in Personal lifestyles per any freely chosen individual belief, that has nothing to do or harms others, even if publicly displayed, versus Dictated lifestyles to all without choice. There are some things that effect lifestyles and cultural that should be Dictated. To be a real society, there has to be some commonality.
As World Citizens, we have the right and should fight to change every governing rule that doesn't lead to Liberty and Justice for all, in all the World. Liberals use to take the lead on that. Of course, there is one more caveat that complicates the whole situation and can bruise any true Liberal's ideology.
All these Islamic nations of which we speak, are indeed Sovereign, and have the right to mix in religion or make Islam synonymous with all Government and Culture. For this, it is fact that the Obama administration has been right all along, and I dare say me, too, in how we approach the War on Terror and change and peace in the Middle East, among themselves, and in the World.
We can inspire and preach to influence change. We must. But not much will be accomplished on any front; civil or in terrorism from the region, beyond Containment, until the People of these Lands themselves rise up physically, spiritually, mentally and ideologically, unless we become what Liberals, and all Americans, hate and speak against; Tyranny, Dictatorship, and Imperialism. Though, with consent, even today, Imperialism is not always a bad option, and should be on the table.
The debate has been whether or not our troops should fight and/or remain in some of these Sovereign Nations, with or without permission. But what if The People there actually gave over all rule and authority to the US of A, until they are able to take over for themselves. This way, we would be more than mere body guards, and have a bona fide self interest. It would be no different than defending Rhode Island.
They could be governed no differently than any other of our US territories in where the citizens would still have their own representation, but the overall structure would come from America.
Just a thought. No one get too upset. Peace.
There is greatness in the Middle East.
God Bless America. God Bless this World.
