Obtaining A Second Chance - Part Two

Obtaining A Second Chance - Part Two

He is the God of Second chances. He is the God of third, fourth, fifth, six, and thousands upon thousands of chances, too. He, nor I want there to be a need for thousands. It is possible however.

God sets the parameters and conditions for all second chances, and fresh starts. He often uses and tells the prophet to tell the people. That is one of their functions.

The prophet is apart of the God established 5 facets of Leadership in the Church.

Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

We know and speak of the other four, but in every day culture today, of all the offices, it is the least spoken of, and understood as to its actual function. The office of the prophet is spoken of as if it was only an office and title for the Old Testament. However, in the New Testament, along with Christ and the Apostles, these have built the foundation thereof, of the Church and all things new.

Ephesians 2:20
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

God's use of the prophet to reveal what to do, and how to do it, or what He will accept, is all through out both the Old and New Testament. See Jonah, Samuel, Nathan, Daniel, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, and so many other major and minor prophets. Jesus Himself was a Prophet because He would reveal specific truths of His time, and He would reveal and initiate a new season.

Deuteronomy 18:15
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Matthew 21:11
And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

Luke 24:19
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

In the times still to come, the prophets are also front and center as seen in Revelation, also. They will be the last office standing.

These are not psychics, nor soothsayers. They are not speakers to the dead, nor to be summoned by people. They do not say what people want to hear, but what is right. They speak when they hear and are told to speak by God, and what He says. They are persistent, influential and have a grace to convince people, and to convince them to want to hear, and more so to want to hear and do what is right.

We know these things are true about ourselves, because at some point everyone had to use my words, or say and do what was not right according to any doctrine or reasonable, or lie.

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:11
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Here is an example of Jesus in the capacity of a Prophet.

John 4:19
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.

John 4:28
The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Verse 42 is the main function of a prophet. That is to lead many to what is right, and ultimately to Christ. In this case, Jesus was the Means, and End. I am only a way, and if necessary can be a shelter, unto or until Jesus is received who is the Way and the Truth.

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who took Israel captive was wise enough to listen to the prophet Daniel, even when Daniel said what the King didn't want to hear, or when what was said was not favorable towards him. Read the book of Daniel. The same can be said about Jonah of Nineveh. There are many other stories.

If you want a second chance, stop making it up, and listen. The same way one would stand before a parole board, and having received parole, has rules to follow, or the way one that takes a plea and gets probation and/or  has to fulfill other conditions, in order to be completely free, all second chances and wholeness spiritually speaking, can not fully be received and actualized until the requirements for it are satisfied.

Those requirements can be different for different people depending on level of knowledge, and/or what was known or should have been known based on age, experience and exposure.

Like in our justice system, the conditions can be anything from nothing, or a simple fine, to a whole lot of something, depending on the kind of offense and its severity, and surrounding circumstances.

This is of our own earthly justice system. Surely God is more and better than it. In fact, this earthly system that we accept daily to govern our societies came from God, and not the other way around. Yet and still spiritually, even the Church, and Leadership fight God's way, and try to construct another gospel that is not another. As Christians, these things ought not to be. How can we expect others to follow what we will not? How shall we convince the world, and of repentance, or the need to?

1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

1 Peter 4:18
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

I can say similar about America as they try to hold on to the title and position of de facto Leader of the Free World. We must BE first what we say should be in the world. We must practice what we preach, and prove worthy of being a nation worth following, and duplicated.

Luke 8:8
Others were planted on good ground. When they came up, they produced a hundred times as much as was planted." After he had said this, he called out, "Let the person who has ears listen!"

Luke 8:15
The seeds that were planted on good ground are people who also hear the word. But they keep it in their good and honest hearts and produce what is good despite what life may bring.

Luke 12:48
...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they
will ask the more.

Concerning the grace, ability, and office of the Prophet, and all of the offices of Church leadership, do to them, and give the honor and respect, that you would like to receive for the things that you are graced to do, and the offices or titles and professions you hold.

What irony to use the following scripture to sum it all up, considering the point of this post. If it alone was done, I would have no need to have written, and teach any of these things.

Matthew 7:12
"Always do for other people everything you want them to do for you. That is the meaning of Moses' Teachings and the Prophets.

No honor. No respect. No Love.

Romans 13:7
Pay everyone whatever you owe them. If you owe taxes, pay them. If you owe tolls, pay them. If you owe someone respect, respect that person. If you owe someone honor, honor that person.

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Selah.

Accuracy counts.
