In response to a post with a picture of a Bible charater fighting an American Constitution Character.

Ignorance leads to Error. Error leads to Ignorance.

Our American founders were brilliant. They were mostly Christians, but they fled a Christian Run Nation for a reason; freedom. The fled for freedom to truly worship God in Spirit and in Truth and not by a Government run religion, and even freedom to not worship at all.

Many religions, especially evangelicals rejoice that most of the founders of this country were Christian and built this country on Judeo-Christian values. But they lose perspective in not considering the fact that when the founders could've made the Counstition simply the bible, scripture by scripture, they did not. The Constitution is not the bible. But there is a way for both to perfectly reign together and for every Christian American to keep perfect integrity with both. But we can not use either sacred document to force, bully, or manipulate those that don't believe into our way of thinking. We are here to set an atmosphere that each may choose God for themselves. When people choose freely, they are more likely to stay and remain.

Jesus never taught to disobey civil law. (Rom 13)

Christians and the religious love the Constitution when it supports them but not any one else. Did you know that the reason that the same people who were healed by Jesus and said "Hosanna..." to Jesus also said "Crucify Him" and freed Barabus was because Jesus wouldn't tear down and overthrow Rome?

Where there the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
Where there is Liberty, the Spirit or Power of God can move. It is that Power then changes people and not legislation. I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is what that Power flows through unto change and not more laws other than a moral standard that keeps un from harming one another; physically or inother ways and infringing upon or impeding one another's rights. Unfortunately, time and time again, it is the Christians that impede rights. Just as the First Amendment protects all religious people to worship, speak about their religion freely, publish concerning their religion and etc per the amendment, it also protects everyones right to NOT do so as well. 

In Rom 8 it states the law CAN'T change people. But that First Amendment in the Constitution allows us to freely preach the gospel that can change them.  Let every Christian use this right liberally and trust God to draw. But let us not force anyone to become or live as Christians. That's neither Constitutional nor Biblical.God bless America.

Many enjoyed good lives before we were saved. Many freely lived without threat of court action or discrimination. When we were yet enemies of God, God loved us and was good unto our repentance. How can we, all believers, not do the same for all others? Do unto others as you would have done unto you is still golden. It is love. And love lifted me. But even better do to others what God has already done to you.  Not all sin is a crime, nor should be. We can not force others to believe, they must be born again. It will only happen by Christians doing it God's way.

Truly Liberty and Justice For All. Let it BE now!
Impede one person,s rights and all rights will be in danger.
