More About Compromise: A Lack of Influence And Pride Is More Problematic Than A Lack Of Compromise

Influence, communicaton, humility, and a desire for the greatest good are the real issues behind most of the stagnation, endless debates, and problems in America and American politics, not compromise. I believe there is too much compromise which really is just lazy governing.

I understand what everyone means when they say we need more compromise. As said before, if there are two or more really good ideas on the table and a need for "give and take" because neither party is wrong there are just differing views and desires. Also, when no side is guilty, and  there was not any competition where to the victor should go all the spoils,  compromise can be good.

Many times participating parties can come to resolutions among themselves. But in politics we do have a checks and balancing system and of course already written core doctirine that no personal value trumps.

When the parties can't work together or a party refuses to yield though their preference is not in line with the foundation, there has to be a mediator and that mediator whether judge or boss or executive must first decide validity of each position and then gets final say on the compromise if all passes mustard. It is this lack of true sense of authority; leadership and followship that is missing  greatly in America.

You can not keep principles and compromise at the same time. The two ideas conflict. I do not think it is a lack of ability to compromise in America or Washington. But as said above it is a lack of influence and integrity after thorough thought. It is also pride such that even after hearing a better way contrary to ones ideas and views, many refuse to change. And it is not just simple stubbornness, but oftentimes "We The People" and political parties punish public office holders for reasonably changing positions to do what is just and right at the time. We no longer allow our leaders to admit they were wrong and change directions. To change based on new information and according to what is needed now, or a new understanding differs from flip-flopping or insincerity or a lack of integrity.

Let us all judge the whole matter and always see every side and every hand. We are all worth that, America and all the world. There are very few absolutes in the world.

Consider all and always BE thinking.

God Bless America.
