Defense of Marriage Act Can Be Seen As An Offense To Some

Calm down. This is not an attack on anyone, but there's a reason it is best to do what's right and not always compromise. Many of the compromises of the 90's faired well for a time, but their unraveling is causing much more conflict now, then it would've then if they were truthfully addressed and solutions were fought for based on what is right. Hindsight is 20/20. No blame, but we have to see the initial cause and effect of some of our current issues to stop reoccurences and keep history from repeating itself.

And when I say right, I specifically speak according to the Constitution and the spirit/principle foundation of America and not according to any religious truths of any religion or philosophy.

#DOMA and #Don'tAskDon'tTell satisfied many on bothsides; Right and Left then, at least in open debates, but according to American basic ideas of life, liberty, a pursuit of happiness, and justice for all, neither should have been. One has been dealt with and addressed, the other must now be addressed and dealt with, too.

As far as religious liberties go, according to their platform, Conservatives have it right. America was not made to be Big Government first. The many are one, but the rights of the least and individual in most cases are to be valued over the umbrella. Conservatives, though they fail to keep integrity with it when their emotions, and religious convictions are challenged, are right in this belief. They keep it economically but seem to forget this principle when we get into the culture wars. (I fear they are losing this value economically, too as many hurt financially. Keep integrity. Hold on. Change is coming and is now.)

Since the First Amendment says the Government or State can make no law in respect of any particular religion, and we are a Republic by way of democracy and not just majority driven as some may think, no majority can trump the inaliable rights of any single individual to worship or not worship the way each sees fit as long as they don't impede any others right.
So, if even one or two people in the whole country are homosexual they are to be allowed to practice that belief.
As for the Christians and other religions and philosophies against homosexuality and gay marriage, I say to you to do unto others as you would have done to you. If you don't want any to force you into believing this or that, don't do it to anybody else, outside of laws that keeps society physically safe and property safe. We are beginning to reap what we sow. Let us consider.
I also say to you that you can and should use that same First Amendment to train up our children, preach to the world, and see real change. I stand where you stand. I am Christian.

These things are right. Consider the whole matter, not just your preference or if you were Supreme King, though we be kings and priests unto our God.

Priest means bridge. Use your influence to not manipulate, but to compel many to willingly walk across the gulf and be transfigured. But BE like God where as He said whosoever will, let him come. BE like God that said He loves a cheerful giver and not one that gives by necessity. Giving is not just about things, money and substance, but let it first be about the willing giving of ones ownself, even their very lives, ways and souls. BE like God who said in Revelations, let the just remain just and the filthy stay filthy. And BE like God who said I lay before you both life and death, but leaves the choice to them. Of course He tells them the right answer and choice in that He says, choose life. But He whom is All Powerful does not do it by might or power but by His influential Spirit and with love that never fails, but allows us to.

Do not confuse America with the Church. They are not interchangeable. But let us not forget how awesome America is because of the Church as we also can't forget the awesome free course of the gospel the Church has that is due to America.

If you fight the wrong fight because it not according to the Constitution and what the founders had in mind, you are setting a precedent and path for everyone else. Greatly consider.

Where there is liberty, there is great power.

God Bless America. Bless everyone that is America; gay and straight. Even biblically this is right.

Peace for real,
