The Stage of Life

I heard a story from the "I Am" doctor on his PBS televised lecture. He told a story of a woman writing about 5 stages of her life.

Stage 1) She walked down a street and fell in a huge hole. It was not her fault. She got help to get out.

Stage 2) She walked down the same street and fell down the same hole. This time, she knew, so it was her fault, she got herself out.

Stage 3) She again walked down the street and fell in the hole again. She had forgotten all about it. Of course, she fell in and got stuck. She had to again get herself out.

Stage 4) She walks down the very same street. But this time she remembers the hole, goes around it, and does not fall. She continues freely on course.

Stage 5) She walks down a different street.

What a great story. To learn, and wisely "process" and apply what you have learned so that you eventually, totally avoid life's pitfall. And as the last stage suggests, even to the point of eliminating pitfalls all together.

You all know me by now. Let me add a few things.
If you believe in the total salvation of God through Jesus Christ, you can bypass stages 1 through 4. I know this is hard to believe, but it is true. There is a wisdom God gives as a gift that allows us to be pro-active and not re-active. But, no worries and do not think less of yourself if you do go through life in stages. The race is not given to the fast or strong, but to everyone the endures and finishes the course. God is forever and always a deliverer and a present help in the time of need or trouble. Also, we are each others keeper. We are called to help one another as stage 1 properly suggests. And, for those of you who are not religious, you can still take a little more time to consider things and think them out. Not that you will be clairvoyant, but you will see the pot falls of life, and at least go directly to stage 4. But once again, no worries. If you fall, there is help, and you can help yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Allow me now to add my own personal stage.

Stage 6) (or 5 or 1 depending on what you believe and where you place yourself based on my prior statements.)

You walk down the street and you see parallel roads. You see a huge hole in one of them. You quickly get all the necessary equipment and whatever is needed, including the help of others willing and able, and fill the hole so that no one else after you ever falls and gets stuck.

Awesome. Its my perspective. :-) The delivered always wants to see all delivered. And will at least do all they can do to make that happen. Playing by the rules of course. :-)
