#StillPleadingMyCase....

#StillPleadingMyCase....

I am a Black Woman, who was not born rich and has and had no wealthy, influential connections growing up. I have had to work and prove myself like everyone else.

I am also a Born Again, Evangelical Christian from NY, and I LOVE NY and where I live. It is my home, and forever my base. So, I see clearly this Majority/Minority Fairness and Equality fight for power, privilege, and prosperity, going on right now. Both sides have been wrong and unjust in certain ways, and both have done things to the other, to secure their place.

Yesterday, Oprah Winfrey gave an excellent definition of racism. She said it is when one group wants to dominate another. Yes. Exactly. I will go a step further and say that that definition is the basis for all "isms" and hate. One group, groups, or an individual dominating another for no other purpose or basis, but to dominate and control them, is hate!

We have seen this through racial oppression, oppression of women, oppression of the LBGTQ community, and in religion. Hate is hate.

A bully takes what is not their own. Many have done it. But minorities tend to think that they have more of a right to do so, and are justified, when they tilt the balance of power using the very same tactics they protest and claim to detest. There is still a right way of doing things if true justice is to be established in the land.

We also must address minorities willing to trample others, even their own, to get crumbs. Right is right. If you truly seek justice and equality that is not an option.

I have Conservative values, but I support Gay Equality and Womens Choice because according to the Constitution and principles of this country that I love so much, that is the right thing to do.

I have Liberal values, but I am a born again, scripture quoting, bible toting, tongue talking Evangelical that talks it and walks it, in love towards all. And I should not have to, and will not go to the "Bible Belt" to live my faith. God Bless America. I wear it on my sleeve and loud, but I have not forced my way upon any one, though I preach. I am much like a MLK and others that were able to see all angles and yet keep integrity to both doctrines.

When the Church is wrong, I say so. When others are, I say so. And I have reason and fact always backing me up.

I am a Christian and wholly a patriotic lover of all things American.  I have done the right things by both and used what God has given me to prosper personally and help all and others. There should be no other step or steps after that to prosper, per the Bible or Constitution. I should not then have to still jump through hoops and to do certain things, and have to betray my faith. No! What is the use of living in America, if I have to live like that.

It is time for a turn over in the land. There was a time and a place for many things. But often it was to get us to a place of fairness and justice, much like a rose bush that has to be tied while it grows, but then is unbound and released to grow freely, because now it has been trained to hold its shape AND grow.

In theory, everyone knows that I am right. But some struggle in getting rid of the very systems in which they made their bones, so to speak. If racial segregation and inequity towards women or any group helped one because it narrowed the field and gave them less competition, may be they weren't so eager, or aren't, to toss these out. And if quotas helped them, perhaps they want to defend that system forever. Also, for those that are next in line, that helped many use these systems, in expectation that the same will be done for them, they definitely want the beat of that drum to go on and on.

As the song goes, every thing must change. The music does have to stop, or at least a new song track must be played. Every good DJ and conductor knows to change it up. That is what makes them good.

We have to get to Liberty and Justice for all at some point. We have to unbind the rose bushes and let them go free. I am confident that this generation, if allowed, will move us forward in justice, and fairly, and will stop the games and tricks. I fear we only have a small window of opportunity as many sour and/or become like everyone else as they grow weary of waiting and watching the unjust and injustice win. But not I. I will keep the faith, hope and love for all. If I am the only one, a change is gonna come. ALL principles and doctrines are on my side.

Forever and ever, God Bless America!

More on "isms" to come.....
