Why the 2nd Amendment: Back to the Basics. What Makes America Great. Just a short blurb

Sen. Feinstien made a strong case for better gun control on Fox News today. It's a view I've heard from others & pondered, even a pro gun co-worker. But, I believe James Holmes, the perpetrator in the Aurora, CO massacre, would've just found another way. As a preacher, I say, Marvel not. They must be born again. We pray for peace in the souls and minds of every potential James Holmes, their potential victims, and of course James himself. And for those not religious or of another religion, raise and care for children and all people to be responsible and loving. People kill, not guns. Look at September, 11th. One thing I will say. Colorado not registering guns makes no sense and has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment. Remember. The 2nd amendment was put in place so that individuals can defend themselves, family, and property against any one unlawfully infringing or taking from rightful owners, primarily rouge government. Put yourself in the minds of the founders. They left a country, Britain, and started another. Britain decided the new country was theirs. The new country men had to fight, even war for what was theirs but, to Britain they were british citizens only and had no right to resist. So, our founders wanted all individuals to be able to defend against government over reach. We are so removed from the reason behind the laws laid out. I love this country. What we see happening by Evil Dictators and terrorists groups is not here. We can speak and vote and dissent without persecution. But if our military or a police force ever thought to do what we see in other nations, the people cant and shall not be left defenseless. Please don't think I support these "militia" groups who come against America because they just don't like policies. That's different. I personally believe in the system to change things. I fight a good fight of faith (and politics). Consider. Consider the reason behind the 2nd amendment. God Bless America. Liberty and Justice for all. -Yulanda K. Jones
